Meet Jackson Usoro of Metropolitan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackson Usoro.

Hi Jackson, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Elevotix was initially founded with three partners. The CEO Jesse Bray approached me with an opportunity to create value in the real estate marketplace through a mutual friend and co founder. We had a rough run getting started and learning early on that business like any thing else worth doing is unpredictable. Life continued to do its thing of introducing new levels of difficulty with the three of us. It eventually led to one of our co founders having to leave the company.

Elevotix focuses on increasing the value real estate professionals bring to their clientele by elevating their marketing efforts. The business started as a multi state entity operating in California, Georgia, and Tennessee. We consolidated our efforts in Tennessee after several rounds of trial and error. The challenges continued despite our revised focus; we lost team members and clientele.

Our steadfastness started to pay off as we found our groove. We implemented systems of accountability and organization, streamlining how we did business from prospecting to delivering projects. To date, we have surpassed our goals and have a bright outlook going into our third year.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, I have alluded to some instances in the previous question. To list them, we had to deal with deaths in our families, lay offs from primary income sources, and uncertainty that our business would be able to survive as team members left.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
By trade I am an information security professional. As Chief Technology Officer of Elevotix, I value security of our client’s assets over anything else. I am most proud of how far my team has come in such a short time and that we have not only endured but prospered. We put a great deal intention behind developing each one of our team members so they have the option to grow with us or have valuable skills to bring to their next opportunity. What sets us apart from the rest is the way we’re able to adapt to circumstances from unexpected weather during a shoot, an edit gone wrong, frustrated clientele and recover; delivering on our promise at a high standard.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that nothing is promised and everything worth keeping is hard earned.
