Meet Jacqueline Chikambure

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Chikambure. Jacqueline was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Mrs. Sathya Callender-Wilson.

Jacqueline , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m writing as the founder of Tell Our Story, a creative company that provides ghostwriting services to help people tell their stories. If you have ever wanted to write a book, or just want a short story and can’t quite find the words to tell it, then we would love to help you make that dream come true.

Writing has been in my spirit since I was a little girl. My favorite time in class was Creative Writing time, we had to be quiet for 30 minutes and write a story. I have always found writing to be such a magical experience because you are building something out of nothing. Fast forward to today, I have won several writing competitions, I have a degree in Creative Writing, I have one book coming out in 2023, Anaishe, and I am a ghostwriter, I like to help others tell their stories.

I think everyone has an important story to tell and I like to help them do that. That is how I was fortunate to meet Sathya, who runs Scars of Survival Magazine.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
Tell Our Story is a new business, that I am still working to grow, but the aim is to become a global brand where I can tell people’s stories from all over the world. Currently, I use the skills I learned from my Creative Writing degree to improve the way I write. I think what sets me apart is the way I personalize every single story. I try to stick as true to the personalities I am writing about so that they shine on paper – it is not about me the writer, but about them. What I love about my work is being able to interact with so many different people from all walks of life and the greatest joy is seeing them happy with what I have written.

Mrs. Sathya Callender-Wilson and Scars of Survival Magazine have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Mrs. Sathya Callender-Wilson and Scars of Survival Magazine and your experience with them.
Meeting Mrs. Sathya Wilson and being a part of Scars of Survival Magazine has been one of the greatest opportunities of my life. I applied for a role as a writer for SOSM and my life has not been the same since because of the incredible work the magazine does.

I have had the pleasure of working as a journalist for her incredible magazine, Scars of Survival Magazine since early 2021, and I have grown to respect and admire her. The magazine focuses on giving a voice to abuse survivors, who not only heal from telling their stories but also impact readers who may be in similar situations to know that they are not alone. Not only is Sathya a domestic violence advocate, but she is also a survivor herself and she uses this experience to run her organization with heart.

Sathya is a wonderful CEO. Her drive, tenacious nature, and ambition for continuous innovation in all she does, is inspiring. I know there are only better things to come from her. The world needs more women like Sathya and the work she does is vital.
