Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Hites.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m Jacqueline Hites (friends call me Jackie), owner and lead designer of Blooming Hites, lover of flowers, enthusiast of design, through and through believer of memorable experiences and mom to a one-of-a-kind Aussie canine, Maverick. Since you’re already here, let me share the palette of Blooming Hites…
Born and raised in Sonoma, CA (a.k.a wine country). Just like wine, I aged but aged with a taste for flowers and design. Little me began making and designing bouquets while playing in backyards, taking walks or at my daily playground dates. It was love at first bloom and a relationship I could never kick. This affair followed me to high school where I landed my first job at a local flower shop. College rooted my passion. I majored in Horticulture: Floral Design and transformed that major into Blooming Hites.
Why flowers? They evoke and heighten every sense – it’s absolutely thrilling! The colors, movements, shapes, textures and smells — are all part of my happy dance. When I’m designing your event, this reaction is the fruit of my labor.
Visuals all day every day. It’s THE medium where I pull all my inspiration from. I’m not sure how visual boards ever survived before Pinterest, but I’m glad they don’t have to suffer anymore. From Pinterest boards, magazines and other florist peers, I’m constantly indulging in any visuals I can get my eyes and hands on.
That’s right, I’m a West Coast lady now living in an East Coast world! Although California will always have my heart, I’m now a well adjusted Atlantan. I ‘Shoot the Hootch,’ say Y’all, am obsessed with Southern food (fried pickles, fried everything) and I don’t completely freak out when I see all those huge bugs roaming around.
Maverick & Macallan are my freckled faced Aussie dogs, my spirit animals and pride and joy! It’s truly strange but our personalities are identical. We’re both social, and we love to eat!! More importantly, snuggle time is an everyday luxury to be had.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Blooming Hites story. Tell us more about the business.
Blooming Hites is a floral and event design company specializing in weddings, corporate events, baby showers, holiday parties and so much more. The Blooming Hites team loves getting to know our clients and helping them design a beautiful event. Our team tries to go over and beyond for our clients. That could include meeting with them on multiple occasions or helping them connect with other vendors that fit their style.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t really believe in luck when it comes to business just hard work. That being said I am a very lucky woman to be surrounded by people who cheer me on and support me.
