Meet Jalon Pero

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalon Pero.

Jalon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, it started out around the age of three. I received a small drum set for Christmas and started playing drums. My parents had set me up for drum lessons in my early childhood and I also played percussion alongside my father in Church. I didn’t really get serious into creating music until 8th grade going into Highschool. Where I started making beats on FL Studio/Ableton just trying out different DAW’s to see what would suit me best. As time went on I started recording on the beats that I made because I was tired of hearing other people not do any justice on the beats I was creating.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far yes, its been a smooth road. I don’t ever expect anything to come easy but the only struggle I’ve seemed to face is just putting myself out there. For me making music is therapeutic. It makes me feel more alive creating. I would say my challenges would be finding other artists to work with that I feel would fit with what I’m doing with my music.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m a music producer/artist. I’m most known for the beats/remixes I used to post on SoundCloud a few years ago but I stopped doing remixes and posting beats to get more serious with just my artistry. What sets me apart from other artists and producers is that you’re not going to find anybody else with my sound. I’m most proud of the quality of music I’ve been able to produce more than anything. My latest project, “Last Night I Changed My Destiny,” really shows how much I’ve grown as an artist and producer, which couldn’t make me happier.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I’d do nothing different. I love the road I am on and I couldn’t be happier to see what’s to become of all of this. I feel like I put in so much work with my music that I feel like the road I’m on can only lead to greatness.
