Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalyn Finley.
Jalyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started in 2018 when I was thinking about making clothes. Back then, I came up with a logo that I liked but I ended up having to rebrand my whole clothing because someone had that logo. That’s why today I’m CommasClothing and not 2commas. Now today, business is good and growing and I’m happy with that.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road just had to change somethings and learn about more stuff. Like for example, when I expanded to a website I had to learn how the shipping stuff works. Also had to deal with all customer’s issues or questions myself because I don’t have anyone who works for me to deal with customers.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about CommasClothing – what should we know?
I make clothes pants, shirts, hoodies, etc. I’m most proud of the accomplishments that I have passed in my company. Like for example, I went from having people make my clothes to me making them myself. Something that sets me apart from others is I love doing this some people just do it just for the money but I love doing it love seeing people in my clothing. I’m just on a different mindset than others.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel the way I carry myself is the cause of my success; I treat all customers with respect. Also, I present myself as a business even though I’m only 18 and coming up but don’t want to run away no potential customers by acting ghetto, hood, etc.
