Meet JamalTheCreator

Today we’d like to introduce you to JamalTheCreator.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my YouTube journey back in 2017, when my friend started his channel ‘ShlideTV.’ People always told me that I should be a comedian and that I was funny, but I never knew how to get started. After my friend started his channel, I started doing videos with him. After a while, we started raking up millions and millions of views doing public prank videos. We landed a management contract with Studio71 in Beverly Hills because we were gaining so much viral attention. After about two years, I left the collaboration channel and started my own platform, ‘JamalTheCreator.’ I decided to start my own channel because I knew I wasn’t maximizing my potential on the other channel. I felt kinda, “stuck.” I knew that I desired to develop a real brand identity, which I couldn’t do on ShlideTv.

When I started ‘JamalTheCreator,’ I was able to do Vlogs, Pranks, and anything I wanted to do. I knew that people would actually watch my videos because they like me as a person and not just my content. My main goal for the channel is to make millions of people laugh because that’s a necessity when it comes to living a happy life. Not only did I launch my own channel, but I also started my own talent management company called ‘Renascent Artistry.’ I just can’t stand to see talented people get lost in a pool with thousands of others and never be heard. I’m very good at what I do and know how to operate in the media industry, so I want to help others make a name for themselves as well.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There’s no such thing as a smooth road on any journey. I’ve been to jail, lost money, lost friendships… all for the sake of YouTube. Even while doing YouTube, I’ve lost many sponsorship deals, been shadowbanned, and other things like that. Those are the kind of things that come with being in the entertainment industry, especially making the kind of content I was making. I see it all as a blessing though at the end of the day, because It truly helps to improve all areas of my life.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m a YouTuber known for my funny vlog and prank videos. I’m most proud of some of the opportunities I’ve been given due to my hard work in creating content. The thing that sets me apart from others is the fact that I exercise my unique personality. I’m the type of person that will do what I have to do to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. I stay up late nights and study brand development, marketing, and network with bigger entertainers so that I can take my brand to the next level! I want to be the best and I really have been working towards that.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Absolutely nothing. I had to start over before, and I just applied what I learned. I use my lessons to improve my work, and that’s it. The journey is great though. I get better and better daily. Everything bad that has happened has eventually played a great role in my improvement as a YouTuber.
