Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamella Nash-Charles.
Hi Jamella, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into entrepreneurship started nearly a decade ago, I was driven by curiosity, independence, and a desire to build something that could evolve with me. I’ve always been interested in how people make decisions around money, lifestyle, and ownership—and that curiosity naturally led me into real estate, e-commerce, and brand building. I became licensed in real estate in 2015, and started my first online business in 2016.
Like most entrepreneurs, my early years were about exploration and execution. I learned by doing—testing ideas, building businesses, refining systems, and understanding what actually creates value versus what simply creates noise. Over time, experience brought clarity. I began to move away from doing everything and toward doing the right things, with intention.
Today, my work is more focused and strategic. Real estate remains a core pillar, with an increasing emphasis on higher-end residential and commercial opportunities, but e-commerce has also become an important extension of my entrepreneurial path. It allows me to think beyond single transactions and into scalable systems, audience-driven brands, and long-term growth. Both worlds complement each other in how I approach business: thoughtfully, creatively, and with a clear plan.
Having been featured before, this chapter feels more grounded and deliberate. I’m building with intention, prioritizing alignment and sustainability, and allowing the work itself to speak.
After ten years in entrepreneurship, I’ve learned the value of patience, precision, and restraint. What comes next is very much by design.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Nothing is smooth about real estate and entreprenuership haha!
In the earlier years of my career, the biggest struggle was doing too much at once: building, learning, adjusting, and sometimes carrying things longer than I should have. I was eager, curious, and willing to take on everything, but experience taught me that growth isn’t just about effort- it’s about focus and timing.
Over time, I learned when to pivot, when to let go, and when to refine instead of rushing. I’m far more intentional with my energy, my strategy, and the direction I’m building toward, and that clarity has made all the difference.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about JE & CO?
I operate under JE & Co, which now houses my entrepreneurial work, and I practice real estate under my brokerage, where I focus on residential sales and strategic positioning.
I’m a Realtor and a serial entrepreneur, and my work sits at the crossroads of real estate, strategy, and brand building. I specialize in residential real estate with a strong focus on sellers, positioning homes to move efficiently while protecting long-term value. Beyond transactions, I’m deeply involved in building scalable businesses—real estate being the foundation, not my finish line.
What sets me apart is perspective. I don’t treat real estate as a one-lane career or a series of quick wins. I see how everything connects—clients, properties, branding, and long-term growth. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come from being the loudest voice in the room, but from showing up consistently and doing meaningful work well.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is alignment—between the life I’m building, the work I’m doing, and the values I move with. I’ve learned over time that chasing momentum without purpose leads to burnout, and success without alignment eventually costs more than it gives. When my work is intentional and my decisions are rooted in clarity and long-term vision, everything else—growth, impact, sustainability—falls into place, not just in business, but in life.
