Meet James Cash

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Cash.

Thanks for sharing your story with us James. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’d consider in every way life to be a journey, along hills and valleys. The greatest thing about any journey is that the destination has not yet even been reached so I appreciate every moment along my journey – the good and the bad – as I am confident that it helps mold my future. My journey started back in Jacksonville, FL where I was born to James Cash III and Charietta Gray. My father passed when I was 11. I have siblings on both my mom and dad’s side and learned responsibility at a young age.

I had an enthusiastic childhood and found joy in hobbies like fishing, bowling, playing video games, shooting pool. And out of that, I found what, at that time, I thought to be my calling, which was to be a doctor. It had nothing to do with money or acclaim, as much as I realized my yearning to be becoming a doctor had everything to make my love to help people. Little did I know there were other “non-traditional” ways to do that I found my true passion when I picked up my first football at the age of 9. After graduating from Robalt Senior High, I enrolled at Florida A & M University, where I earned a bachelors of science in pre-physical therapy, graduating with a 3.3 GPA. Coming out of FAMU, I started walking on my path to entrepreneurship starting up a new health and wellness company and playing arena football for West Texas Warbirds.

I account for all of my success to God and self-determination. I know too much is given much is required so I soar, I plan to give back to my city by building a large facility for low-income athletes and hub for physical trainers.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
During my journey, it has been multiple challenges starting by being cut by two professional teams and having my son being born. By being cut, it taught me how to turn that negative into much more of a positive by changing things I was Conducting myself during practices, studying film and trusting the process. When my son Tyler was born, I learned how that it was about him more than my self and by creating a legacy where he can learn from my mistakes.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I specialize in helping others with speed, agility, Abs, strength and weight loss. I teach all athletes that it’s about separating yourself in sports at being smooth and playing in control. It is essential that you put the right foods into your body and getting rest. Also, I love to help create a better version of themselves in the fitness world and to help them reach goals. I’m proud to see the Expressions of each client’s face when they see they’re results and wanting to improve on more small things to make each of the better. The thing that sets me apart is that I have patience and want to build a relationship with each person to show them it’s like they are family.

What were you like growing up?
Growing, I was a kid that loved to have fun and made ways to do so. I watched a lot of trauma life in the ER. I also played the video games with my brothers and cousin all day and playing outside jumps across ditches having fun. I was always a goofy fun Energetic child that asked the question to learn why or why I should be doing certain things.
