Meet Jamise Bradley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamise Bradley.

Jamise, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama. When I graduated from Pinson Valley High School, I decided to move to Atlanta to pursue my acting career. In 2017 I started my first year of college at Clark Atlanta University as a Theatre Arts major. Two years later I decided to stop attending college and focus more on my passion and happiness. In the summer of 2019, I got a job and saved to start a real estate class in October. Now I am a real estate agent in the making and preparing for my state test in December all while managing my acting career.

Has it been a smooth road?
This road to success has been very bumpy for me. Graduating high school with all of these hopes and dreams made me feel very confident (and somewhat cocky) before I went to college. I thought I had it all figured out and in the bag, but those two years in college showed me that I wasn’t as strong as I thought I was. At the time, I was homesick, depressed, and had no drive or motivation anymore. Me being from a small town, I believed I was one of the most talented people in my school. Getting to Clark and seeing people far more talented and driven lowered my self-esteem because I saw them as competition when I should’ve seen them as mentors. I cried every day in my dorm. From then on, I didn’t see myself as enough or deserving. Plus, my spirit was drained from the criticism of others. A lot of people either didn’t want to see me win or didn’t care if I win or not.

Please tell us about your work.
I am a jack of many trades. I am a songwriter, actress, investor, and real estate agent. Even though I have many occupations, my first love is acting. What makes me different than others is that I’m always looking to learn. I never want to stop retaining knowledge no matter how much I may “know it all”. Before you can be a good leader you have to be a good learner and a good listener.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like best about Atlanta is that it is very diverse and mixed with different cultures. What I like the least is the traffic.
