Today we’d like to introduce you to Janeah Saadeh.
Janeah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I became a chiropractor over 30 years ago because it was the only modality that helped my migraines. Then once in practice I started incorporating more whole body wellness and got my naturopathic degree. I moved my practice to our current location in 2000 in order to have the space to expand. I wanted to have more of a wellness center. I added massage therapy, acupuncture and some unusual but effective modalities like a hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit, Far Infrared Sauna, K-laser, PEMF, and an IonCleanse Foot bath. We also have a labyrinth in our backyard! We see patients of all ages and walks of life and work with conditions from headaches to sports injuries and fatigue to digestive problems.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes, of course there were obstacles along the way. My mentor back in 1986 had a cash practice and so that is how I started. At that time insurance was king so it took me a few years of referrals to really build up a good patient base. I’m very grateful it was how I started because over the years I have found that the patients that pay for their treatments are much more involved and motivated. My interests have always leaned more toward empowering and teaching people rather than just temporary pain relief.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Healthspring Holistic Center story. Tell us more about the business.
As one of the few holistic wellness centers in Atlanta I’m proud of all the services we offer and the healing environment we have created. All of the practitioners at Healthspring go above and beyond to stay current and deliver quality care. I have always felt drawn toward the cutting edge in terms of modalities and new information.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think of it as luck but I do believe we can be blessed and more good things come our way. And if we stay in a place of noticing those good things and grateful for the blessings we actually get even more!
