Today we’d like to introduce you to Jannah Brock
Hi Jannah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up, I struggled with my body image and unhealthy eating habits. In 2018, I weighed in at my heaviest. I had no motivation to exercise, and my eating habits were the worst they had ever been.
That’s when I decided to make a change in my life. I started going to the gym, moving more, and paying attention to the foods I ate to fuel my body. After years of lifting, I shed the excess weight and developed a passion for fitness. As I shared my knowledge and built a community on social media, I realized I also had a passion for teaching and motivating others. I decided to expand my knowledge and became a NASM-certified personal trainer.
Now, I work as an online women’s fitness coach, helping women all over the world build healthier eating habits and giving them the guidance and confidence they need to start going to the gym. I know how it feels to dislike what I see in the mirror, and I understand it can be a tough battle to make changes to your body, especially as a woman. That is why I am so passionate about helping women become the best version of themselves. My mission is to change the lives of as many women as I can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like anyone who has ever tried to lose weight has likely attempted it multiple times and experienced setbacks along the way. I have definitely fallen off track many times in my journey, but each attempt teaches me something new. I live by the saying: “Get knocked down nine times, get up ten.” Progress is never linear; there will always be ups and downs. It’s all about making the best choice you can most of the time and learning to find balance along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Jannah Brock Fitness?
I launched my online coaching business, Jannah Brock Fitness, with a mission to help women feel strong and capable. Many women believe that reaching their fitness goals is impossible because they lack the knowledge or discipline to make a change. I want to show them that sustainable change is achievable for anyone, regardless of age, busy schedules, or other factors.
What sets me apart as a coach is that I’ve been in their shoes. I understand the feelings of insecurity and shame that can come with body image struggles. My goal is to empower women to feel confidence and love themselves at every stage of their fitness journey, all while guiding them toward their ultimate potential.
I’m incredibly proud of the community I’ve built through social media. Every time I receive a comment or message from someone sharing how I’ve inspired them to hit the gym or make healthier nutrition choices, it reignites my passion and motivates me to grow as a coach. Those moments remind me of the impact we can have on each other’s lives, fueling my commitment to support and uplift others on their journeys.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The Covid-19 crisis taught me just how important movement and nourishment are for both physical and mental well-being. It reinforced that fitness isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about resilience and taking care of yourself even when life feels uncertain. It also showed me the power of community, especially for women who felt isolated or unmotivated. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women feel capable and empowered to move their bodies and fuel themselves in a way that supports their overall well-being.
