Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Washington.
Jared, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got here by the grace of God, growing up it was tough without a father figure. But we made it through, I didn’t graduate high school. I got my g.e.d then went on to get my four-year degree. I had support on and off but Tammala never left my side she and Mercedes were and still are my inspiration.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The struggles we’re trying to decide if I wanted to continue to try to play football or let it go. I had an NFL opportunity but I tore my groin I also had chances after that but I had to do what was best for me. I played a few arena games lead the team in sacks but it was stressful so I let it go.
The Warehouse Performance Institute – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We and I say we because it’s more than just me, it’s Ryan and Mike. We specialize in helping kids become who there are suppose to be. We help them grow mentally and physically as well. We help them become one with themselves. The kids that get bullied and picked over we help those kids become great also others.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is happiness, we know the money will also help. It’s helping the people around you and the people in your community because if you’re only successful and the people around aren’t then that’s not success to me. I want everyone to eat and have what they want but they have to want it for themselves. You have to hang around like-minded people.
