Hi Jase, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Jase and I’m a 10-year-old 5th grader. When the pandemic started my dad gave me a project to start a business. My favorite drink is lemonade, so I came up with lemonade but added fresh fruit to it. My mom found our first event in Conyers Ga and we made 43 bottles of strawberry, kiwi, and original. We sold out and the rest was history.
We found a food truck park in Covington called Debos and we would go there every Saturday and sometimes Sunday. We saved up our money to buy a food truck and grow our menu. We were able to meet a lot of famous people because the owner of the food truck park connected us to Steve Harvey. We are now in our 3rd year and we are continuing to grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth. It’s been a lot of hard work. My dad always has to remind me that nobody ever sees the hard work but will definitely pay off. A 4-hour event could mean a 12-hour work day because of the prep time before the event and the clean-up time after the event.
Also having to restock supplies and organize. The food truck is definitely a lot of hard work! Sometimes we are done with an event at midnight and have another event the next morning at 7 am. So the road is definitely not smooth but it’s fun!
