Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Bridges.
Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Honestly, our story started way before Medicinal Mamas ever existed. My mom, Jennifer, and I both found our way to CBD through personal experiences that changed our lives. When my youngest sister was diagnosed with epilepsy at just four years old, it opened our eyes to the healing potential of holistic alternatives.
A few years later, my mom was diagnosed with anxiety and arthritis. It really started to take a toll — she was missing out on things she loved, traveling less, and just not feeling like herself. Around that time, I was studying Cannabis Studies and encouraged her to try CBD. It was a complete game changer. Her pain eased, her anxiety became more manageable, and she started to get her life back.
Then in 2021, I was in a car accident that left me with herniated discs, nerve damage, and PTSD. That experience flipped my world upside down. I couldn’t do the things I loved, and I felt like my son was missing pieces of me, too. Turning to CBD and holistic wellness became a lifeline — it helped me heal physically, mentally, and emotionally.
That’s when Medicinal Mamas was born. It started as a way to help our family heal and turned into a mission to help others do the same. Today, my mom and I run our own little shop in Sharpsburg, GA and we also offer our products online so we can reach people wherever they are in their wellness journey.
For us, this isn’t just a business. It’s personal. Every product, every story, every customer connection is rooted in care and grown in calm.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. It’s been full of lessons, growth, and a lot of figuring things out as we go.
Being a mother-daughter team adds a whole extra layer to the experience. We love each other endlessly, but we don’t always see eye to eye. I’m the perfectionist — the one who needs everything to be planned, organized, and aligned with our vision. My mom is much more go-with-the-flow. She believes things will work themselves out, and I’m usually the one saying, “But how?” It’s funny now, but in the moment, those differences can really test our patience — both as business partners and as family.
On top of that, running a CBD business hasn’t exactly been easy. The regulations are constantly changing, there’s still stigma attached to what we do, and there have been times we’ve been overlooked or underestimated because we’re a small, family-run brand. Add in my own health challenges — living with nerve damage and chronic pain — and it can feel like we’re climbing uphill some days.
But every challenge has taught us something. It’s helped us grow stronger as a team and reminded us why we started: to create something meaningful that helps people feel better. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been real — and that’s what makes it ours.
As you know, we’re big fans of Medicinal Mamas CBD. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Medicinal Mamas is a mother-daughter-owned CBD and wellness brand based in Georgia. We specialize in premium, lab-tested hemp products designed to support everyday wellness — from stress and sleep to pain and overall balance.
But beyond the products, what really defines us is our purpose. We started Medicinal Mamas because CBD changed our lives, and we wanted to help others experience that same sense of relief and control. Every product we carry — whether it’s our Full Spectrum Gummies, Broad Spectrum Softgels, Tinctures, or Pet Line — is something we personally believe in and use ourselves. We care deeply about quality, transparency, and education, so our customers know exactly what they’re putting into their bodies (and their pets’).
What sets us apart is how personal this brand is. It’s not a corporate operation — it’s family, it’s community, it’s heart. People don’t just shop with us; they share their stories, ask questions, and become part of a space where they feel seen and supported.
I’m most proud that we’ve built something rooted in care — not just a store, but a safe, welcoming space where people can explore holistic wellness without judgment. Whether someone walks into our shop or orders from our website, we want them to feel the same thing: that they’re not alone in their journey to feel better, and we’re here to help them every step of the way.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite memories growing up was when my mom used to take my sister and me to Foxwood Hills in South Carolina every summer. It was our little getaway. She’d let us each bring a friend, and it was always something we looked forward to — swimming, walking around, just being outside. Those trips were full of laughter and peace, and it’s one of the things I remember most about my childhood.
Years later, I wanted to do the same for my own kids. I remember one trip in particular when Jasmine and her siblings were little. Their dad taught them how to fish, though I don’t think much fishing got done — they were too busy skipping rocks and giggling the whole time. We grilled, swam, and took walks as a family. It wasn’t fancy, but it was one of those weekends where everything just felt right.
Looking back now, those are the moments that mean the most — the ones that remind you what really matters. Family, laughter, and just taking time to slow down together.
