Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Momon.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
When my husband and I were expecting our first born, we were in the Army and wanted to know the gender of our baby before he had to deploy again. The ultrasound facility we chose was so elegant and we had a great experience. When we moved back to Atlanta and were pregnant with our second child, and we didn’t have the same experience as the first place. When my husband completed his contract with the Army and moved back home, we decided we would open an ultrasound business with the desire to create an elegant, comfortable, and creative environment for mothers and families to connect with their growing baby.
Pregnancy is no simple task. It’s fulfilling to see the stages of growth. I have very fond memories of the two very different pregnancy experiences because each one was well documented. It’s amazing to look back at pictures of them in utero or to hear their heartbeats before they were born. The fact this type of technology exists, that we can see and hear our babies in utero, is nothing short of amazing.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All great things take time to unfold. The struggle is personal patience. Other than that, everything had been literally magical.
Please tell us about Hey Baby Ultrasound Boutique.
Hey Baby specialized in 3D4D ultrasounds. We also provide early gender determination in 2D, heartbeat animals and heartbeat jewelry. We are known for our large screen and small intimate space to share moments with close family and friends.
Our heartbeat animals and jewelry aren’t exclusively for moms, anyone can come in and get a heartbeat animal or heartbeat jewelry.
Our heartbeat animals hold a recording of the sound of the heart taken from the ultrasound session. The heartbeat can be that of the baby, a spouse, a mate, a parents, etc.
Our heartbeat jewelry is the same. You can have jewelry made from the sound of the baby’s heartbeat or someone you love.
I am most proud of our staff, location, and services. We operate as a business, but even more so a family. The staff is friendly and considerate. The location is the best. Also, our services and accommodations are superb.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memories from childhood are family gatherings. The smell of good food cooking in the kitchen. The sight of older women fixing the tables, seasoning the food in aprons, and walking around with oven mittens on their hands. The sound of men in the backyard grilling and arguing about sports. The feeling of joy as I see familiar faces walk into the house. And my brothers and cousins playing basketball in the street or football in the grass. I remember catching “lightning bugs” in jars, picking berries from “stick-a-bushes” in the backyard, and riding on a tarp of raked leaves.
I loved, and still love being surrounded by family. It’s a place to laugh, forget about everyday stressors, crack open a drink, tell stories, make fun of each other, share memories, eat really good food, and love on each other. You can make all the money in the world, but you can’t buy genuine love.
Family is wealth.
