Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I will try to keep this short as possible. I started out in Lafayette, LA which is where I am from. I was recently licensed as a Massage & Sports Therapist and was reaching out to “celebs or people of status” offering my services for free just to get an opportunity to show off my craft, dedication and love for what I do. One day I got an opportunity to work with an NFL player Rashede Hageman for the Atlanta Falcons and from there my life changed. I had the opportunity to move to Atlanta and start doing what I love which is caring for people and their health. I had 0 dollars honestly but I had a dream so I took the opportunity and moved here. I will just say it was not easy moving with nothing to your name and being a country girl moving to the city but I wouldn’t change or trade my journey for anything. My clients mean the most to me, they have become my family here and the reason why I haven’t left and also my drive to keep giving my gift to the world. I have had my own business being a mobile therapist since 2016 and finally got a location during the pandemic of 2020. My business is based off of word of mouth and it has thrived since. Once you get worked on, you will want to spread the word. With that being said I am excited to introduce my business Revitalize Touch.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Moving to Atlanta as I mentioned being a country girl coming to the city was a struggle lol. Everything was so fast at first but wasn’t hard to catch up. Moving here not knowing anyone at all & without being so established living wisely at the beginning was def a struggle but I embraced it. It has taught me a lot about myself. I had to break out of my shell & be more outgoing than I typically was used to because that’s the only way you really can get your craft out. Being self-employed, being your own boss I wouldn’t say has a smooth road, there is always something typically making it a little bumpy that we have to deal with regardless if it’s financial or not. It has its beauty and has its ugly but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
