Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Suber.
Jasmine, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started GlammedXtensions around November 2018, with no idea of what I was doing. I was in a place where I was struggling to leave a job I’d been at for years because I’d gotten complacent, but it was definitely time to leave. I woke up one day and decided that I could either continue to be miserable at a job that took so much from me, or I could take a risk to progress in life for myself. I chose the latter and decided to registered my company, hustle hard, and save money to invest in GE. I’ve worked all over Atlanta, hustling over the years from management, waitressing and now bartending, yet I still didn’t feel fulfilled career-wise. What I am for certain is that I am the type of woman who has realized that working for other people has given me the motivation to go hard for myself. I’d even taken a job at one point where I was starting my day at 5 am and end at 9 pm, but I wouldn’t even make $200 in that one day. I decided to start using my time wisely, staying focused, and disciplined, putting that energy into my own company. Now I have hair, lashes, and sunglasses added to my line and an assistant who helps me go hard everyday.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being an entrepreneur is not ever and easy process. There’s definitely always obstacles that will get in your way. I’ve had to work three jobs at once to finance my company by myself. You’re pretty much spending money left and right on things to make your business progress, and you’re not sure all of these tactics will generate revenue. Moreover, you take risks all of the time, some bad, mostly good, but that’s apart of this entrepreneurial world. It will even make you want to give up at times, but my dedication and commitment to working for myself outweighs all of these struggles and helps me to keep pushing forward.

GlammedXtensions is a place where anyone can come and get all of their glam needs, like a “one stop shop” for glam. We sell handmade vegan mink lashes (natural, glam, and 25 mm), Natural Indian hair (shipped directly from India), bonnets, and sunglasses. In addition, I am a part-time lash tech in Atlanta. I am most proud of how GlammedXtensions is transforming into this beautiful company that makes people feel good about themselves. When you look good, you feel good and that’s what we want to provide to our customers. When providing this experience, we want to make sure we produce the highest quality products. Being a lash tech, one common concern is sensitivity, and I wanted to provide products everyone can use without being apprehensive about trying out our products. All lashes are handmade and are safe for all eyes. All hair is raw, with no chemical alteration to them. Also, when I do individual lashes, I only use sensitive eyelash glue. We want to strive to always look out for the customer that’s overlooked.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to progress more and more each day. I’d like to eventually add cosmetics to my line and even start another business venture! I’m looking forward to my company being huge in Atlanta and other cities and being that “one stop shop” for glam.
