My path to entrepreneurship was shaped by more than 20 years in healthcare. Throughout my career, I worked closely with patients and clients, and those experiences taught me that quality care goes far beyond clinical services. It is about trust, communication, and making people feel valued every time they walk through the door.
The idea for Quality Diagnostic Health and Wellness came after I attended an entrepreneurship conference and listened to others share their journeys. Hearing their stories inspired me to step out and create something of my own. I wanted to build a wellness clinic that supports occupational health needs while also focusing on preventive care and overall community wellness, all while delivering exceptional customer service.
From day one, I have approached every client and patient as if they were our first. That mindset has guided how we serve both individuals and businesses. Whether someone is coming in for occupational testing or wellness services, we aim to provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient experience.
Networking has played a major role in our growth. I believe meaningful connections can happen anywhere. I have had conversations in everyday places, including the bank, that turned into business opportunities simply because I was willing to listen, connect, and share what we do. Being approachable and intentional in how I build relationships has opened many doors.
Entrepreneurship has also taught me the importance of resilience. There are moments when you may have to pause, pivot, or go back to the drawing board, and that is okay. What matters most is being willing to learn, adjust, and keep going. That commitment to growth, combined with a strong focus on customer service and genuine care for people, is how I have gotten to where I am today and how I continue to move forward.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. The journey has been far from smooth. Entrepreneurship is often portrayed as quick wins and overnight success, but the reality is much different. There were moments when expenses like rent and overhead were due regardless of whether sales met expectations, and that pressure is something many people do not openly talk about.
One of my biggest early challenges was marketing. You can offer excellent services, but if people do not know you exist, it is difficult to grow. Fortunately, my background and understanding of SEO and how Google rankings work allowed me to focus on building visibility organically. That helped us gain traction without relying heavily on paid advertising in the beginning.
Those early struggles taught me discipline, patience, and the importance of building a business on real strategy rather than shortcuts. Growth takes time, consistency, and a willingness to keep showing up even when things feel uncertain.

On the wellness side, our approach is holistic and focused on long term health. We offer lifestyle modification classes that support healthier habits through nutrition awareness, education, and preventive care. We believe healing and wellness are deeply connected to how we live and what we put into our bodies.

I was diagnosed with nephrotic kidney syndrome at five years old, and through lifestyle changes and being intentional about what I eat, I have been able to maintain kidney function well into adulthood. Today, at 42, my kidney function reflects that of someone with normal kidneys. That experience shapes how we serve others. Our goal is to empower people with education, access, and support so they can take control of their health in a meaningful way.

There isn’t one specific app, book, or podcast that I rely on. What matters most to me is being intentional about what I allow into my mind. I make it a priority to listen to positive and uplifting content that stimulates my thinking and pushes me to grow, both personally and professionally.
I gravitate toward resources that encourage mindset development, discipline, and self awareness. Whether it is something motivational, educational, or faith based, I look for content that challenges me to think differently, stay focused, and continue striving to do better. I also value learning from real life experiences, conversations with other entrepreneurs, and moments of reflection.
I believe growth starts with mindset. When you feed your mind with positive and purpose driven content, it naturally influences how you show up in your work, how you serve others, and how you navigate challenges.
