Meet Jasmine Upshaw of The Roxy Photo Booth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Upshaw

Hi Jasmine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Absolutely! After spending about 8 years in the medical industry, I made the leap into entrepreneurship. COVID was a profound teacher for me, as I’m sure it was for millions of others, emphasizing the importance of being prepared for the unexpected and having multiple streams of income. As a mother, my goals revolve around securing generational wealth for my children while also maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

In June of 2023, my beloved bulldog Roxy passed away, inspiring the name of our company. From this loss, I gleaned several lessons, the most significant being the brevity of life and the importance of making an impact. Amidst emotional turmoil, I found solace in one thing: memories. This realization spurred me to start a photo booth company. Memories endure, and I wanted to surround myself with my clients’ happiest moments, creating a business built on preserving cherished memories that last a lifetime.

I genuinely believe that my commitment to crafting unforgettable experiences distinguishes me. It’s not solely about financial gain; my true satisfaction comes from bringing joy to people’s lives. I’m immensely thankful for the trust my clients place in me, allowing me to pursue my passion wholeheartedly.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t been without its bumps. Transitioning from a medical background to entrepreneurship presented significant challenges. Learning the ropes of effective marketing was one hurdle, and like many new business owners, maintaining a steady income proved to be another. I’ve come to understand that businesses evolve with the seasons, and the key to success lies in maintaining unwavering consistency.
