Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Wright.
Jasmine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Also known as “R’ion CB” by my peers, I was born in Ft Benning, GA near the military base but later moved around to settle in my hometown of College Park, GA. I’ve always been a self-starter and an entrepreneur. I remember selling foods, accessories, anything as a child to make a sale. I was taught by my mom and dad early on that “you have to grind to shine” Meaning that things must be worked for, and doesn’t come easy. It was always instilled in me to work hard to acquire my own things in life. So, I attended Cosmetology School as well as Dental Assisting classes. I believe that if you have many things that you can do no one can tell you no. I’ve been raised to be a jack of all trades, but while attending Cosmetology School in Atlanta it made me realize the Makeup industry is what I loved doing rather than hair.
So, in 2016 CFO Cortez Battle and I began making our own lip-glosses, Lipsticks, and Eyeshadows etc. The business is so important to us because a portion of our Proceeds goes to ending homelessness in Atlanta. The covenant house of Georgia is a shelter that I temporarily stayed in when I was in my adult teens only because I wanted to make it on my own, and transition into the woman I am today so my mission in life Is to empower young individuals. I made a choice to refuse the easy way out to be the best independent version of myself so that I can say that I’ve earned my spot today. While I have had help to grow, I can truly say that I’m a true entrepreneur, and business woman because I wasn’t afraid to step out on faith, and create an independent lifestyle for myself like my parents and ancestors have before me!
Has it been a smooth road?
The road wasn’t always easy I’ve had many setbacks like having to decide if I wanted to finish Cosmetology school, because at the time I needed to work to earn a living. Another struggle was developing products I’m such a perfectionist anything I do must be at its best. Lastly, learning how to turn other people’s “No’s” into a “Yes”.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The makeup industry is always changing so I definitely see more outrages colors being implemented in makeup. Also. I see our company Growing as a global recognized brand that consumers can relate with. I want the brand to be something that you can recall a good experience with.
