Meet Jason Gamble of Classic Man Barber Shop in Jonesboro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Gamble.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started working in corporate America (AT&T) over 16 years ago. After deciding to leave the Navy I thought a good career at a reputable company was what I wanted. A decent wage,benefits, and dinner with my family each night. After long consideration, I decided to try entrepreneurship. Although I’d never cut hair, I felt that the barber shops where I was spending my money were lacking. So, I decided to raise the bar………a little. We try to make the haircut an experience or lifestyle. With that said, we’ve added services like car detailing, complimentary cigars, and dry cleaning. All of this is available at one location.

Has it been a smooth road?
As the saying goes…….nothing worth having is easy. The location is ideal for me as its close to my home and my current job. We are currently looking to add more talented players to the Classic Man team.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are an upscale barber shop located minutes from I75, in downtown Jonesboro. We cater to discerning gentlemen who like the experiences in life. I am most proud of our community involvement. We have given free haircuts to elementary school students and will be doing a blanket drive this winter for the homeless. What sets us apart from most barber shops is obviously our building. We are stand-alone so we can offer car detailing services on our lot. We also spared no expense with the furniture. While it’s luxurious it is also functional. We have art work for sale by local artist, scattered throughout the shop.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I am born and raised Atlanta. The city has changed dramatically over the decades. Mostly for the better. I would absolutely recommend trying your hand at a business in Atlanta. There is so much diversity I think most anything can survive.
