Jason, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Born and raised in Spanish Town Jamaica, life wasn’t always the best, however it wasn’t the worst. Definitely because of my hard working parents keeping a roof over our heads. Growing up I’ve always been seen as free spirited and funny with a huge sense of humor. Until childhood bullyinglocked me in shell for years. I moved to the United States at age 14. And had absolutely no idea where life would take me next. All I knew was the opportunity for anything was huge here. Had my 1st child in my early 20s then another 5 years after. Again I knew the playing field to be successful was large, I just didn’t see it happening working a 9-5. I have a strong passion for music and always felt that’s where success and wealth would be gained. Definitely wasn’t easy and the passion was somewhat placed on the back burner just trying to stay a float with life. In my journey I came across this company named Primerica. And it totally changed my whole mindset and thinking. So a passion grew for educating people about money and how it works. While still on this mission to educate families, I realized another passion was growing and naturally wants to come out. The passion for making people laugh. It dawned on me that since I’ve been in the US I’ve been told the same thing for years. That I’m free spirited, funny with a huge sense of humor. And been told constantly that all of this needs to be recorded. I just never put much thought into it. Going through the stress of life I’ve always used laughter for myself. And it became my biggest de-stresser. I came up with a motto “Laughter is best medicine” and that’s literally what I mean. Forget all those pills and medication for stress and anxiety. I truly believe having some good laughs daily will fix all of that. So I eventually started using TikTok to create videos of myself just wanting to make people laugh. And with doing that and seeing that TikTok and social media can be another vehicle to be successful. It just gave me a bigger push.
Alright, so we’d love to hear more about your comedy career. What else should we know?
I’ve always been a natural on camera, whether it’s dancing, hanging out with friends and overall being silly. Not realizing how up and down being a video creator was, and seeing my 1st few videos weren’t doing much as far as views and activity. I stopped expecting big numbers for my videos but just kept on posting every once in a while. Once of my random videos started growing unexpectedly, caught me way off guard. Until it became my 1st viral video. Followers and likes grew tremendously. So I started posting more consistently, until few more went viral. I eventually started posting to Instagram also and it’s same up and down battle until a couple gained some trending views. The feeling I get putting a smile on someone’s face, knowing that I may have possibly changed brighten up their day or helped them destress a little. That actually brightens up my day. A lot more videos to come and my goal to become an influencer making millions of people laugh.

Shirlonda reached out to me on Instagram. She expressed how she really liked my content. We spoke about the brand and how we could help each other and I was instantly in. What 1st got me was the meaning of the brand. “Your People My People We Family” and the song for the brand “We are family and loving one another”. I absolutely love the movement. I feel like anywhere I go amongst any crowd that brand brings us all together as one people. Then when I 1st tried on the sweaters I was immediately hooked on how comfortable they are. And then the sweatshirts are just as comfy. Right now I live in Georgia and the material also definitely helps in winter. Even when it’s hot outside I find myself still grabbing for of her sweaters they’re just that comfy. I love our collaboration also because of my purpose of laughter now being shared to her followers. And this just overall helps with exposure on both ends.
