Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasper Hardy.
Jasper, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story began when I was working for my grandmother who was in the foundational stages of starting a daycare center at the time. I wanted to contribute however I could to help her develop the best program possible for the kids in the area. I would take on creative tasks like designing logos, letterheads, banners, and flyers. In doing that I found myself losing track of time and becoming fully submerged in the creative process. Eventually, I got into the business side of things by conducting research, writing grant proposals, business filings, etc. and it was a similar experience. I began to truly enjoy gaining knowledge on the various aspects of business and seeing the product of my creativity being used to help someone else. When the daycare center was finally up and running, several of the parents with their own desire to start a business were outsourced to me for brand designs. I can vividly remember driving and seeing one of the logos I had designed on a banner and realized what I was doing could have a significant impact on the people in my community and the image of their business. It was a surreal moment. I began to notice all of the talented people around me who desired to pursue their passion, but were unsure where to start or felt bogged down with so many other things, leading them to place their aspirations on the back-burner. This is when the idea of “The Brand” was born. I took it upon myself to be someone that could meet people in the middle by utilizing the knowledge I’ve acquired to handle the tedious tasks and research involved in starting or expanding a business, allowing them more time to focus on whatever it is that they do best.
Has it been a smooth road?
The journey has had its highs and lows, but each obstacle always seems to be the origin of a transformation. Perhaps, the biggest hurdle I’ve had to overcome not only in business but in life is myself and my mindset. Most of my life I felt hopeless and victimized to circumstances beyond my control and it was projected in nearly every aspect of my life. This perspective led to depression and isolation, but during that time I was forced to listen to my heart and how I felt. The realization that my problem wasn’t, me vs. the world but me vs. self, allowed me to look inward and explore ways to align myself with what I wanted to be or feel. That shift in perspective gave me a new-found sense of agency and control over my life. I began to visit art museums and book stores. I let my heart guide me which led to me aligning myself with other visionaries and innovators. Through the act of giving myself permission to appeal to my higher nature, I became who I am at my core, which is a creator.

The Brand Consultancy is a branding company that helps visionaries promote their message and form a distinct image. A trajectory is formulated based on where the clients brand has come from, where they would like it to go, and how the brand image will impact customer behavior. I specialize in brand identity, logo design, and web design, for individuals, startup companies, and businesses seeking to rebrand themselves. I believe Atlanta is the perfect place for brand consulting because this city is a mecca for entrepreneurs. It welcomes creatives and innovators with open arms. On any given weekend in Atlanta there is a networking event or business seminar taking place, and most times they are open to anyone looking to attend. For someone starting out, Atlanta could be a great place to share your talent or potentially gain a mentor.
