Meet Javon Frieson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javon Frieson.

Hi Javon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
What’s Up You Guys, I go by the name Javon773 and I’m a Rap artist from Chicago Illinois but currently based out of Atlanta Georgia. I started rapping back in my hood at the age of eight years old. I was the kid that knew how to rap early on so everyone would tell another word to mouth that there’s a kid standing on his grandma porch just spitting bars whenever someone would walk past. I started to take my music more seriously towards the end of my high school career after doing business with Monte Booker (Chicago Producer for Smino). And it gave me this creative drive to do better as an artist because I have seen how him & his team were well put together at the time.

I ended up going to Northern Illinois University where I would gain a much bigger following and I was able to show off my raw talents to a group of diverse people in a small college town. The move to Atlanta recently was personally and I’m so happy God allowed it to happen for me. I feel that I can take my talents so much farther down here in Atlanta as far as connecting and networking with other creatives just like me. I’m currently working on this new project, I don’t have a name for it yet but it’s a fresh restart considering I’m in a new state and I have a brand new sound to bring to the south

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The music journey has its ups & downs. I’ll be lying if I said it was a smooth road but it’s always rewarding at the end. You have your moments where you first start doing music and no one believes in your craft but you! So you keep going to see the long-lasting results of how your music can do. You also have your moments where you could be doing a big concert somewhere and you get boo’d off stage because it’s not your crowd. There’s so many ups and downs that come with becoming a rising artist but if you see a future with this music than why stop? So many good things happen if you never stop

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
So as far as the work I do. I can rap & make beats myself… I specialize in my music videos I create and the artwork I have for myself. Each is very unique to the point once you see it, you’ll remember that’s Javon773. What sets me apart from others in this industry is that I have my own lane when it comes to the music and I’m not trying to fit in anywhere.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
My favorite podcast are Vladtv, SayCheeseTV, Anything that’s interviewing people with an amazing story I’m down for. I love hearing inspiring stories from people because I think that pushes me the most hearing what others went through to get to where they are in life
