Hi Jay-de, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Jay-de Robinson, also known as Mr. Classic. I am a Jamaican native, raised in New York City, who now calls Atlanta, Georgia home. With a deep passion for style and classic menswear, I have built a reputation for styling and designing suits for some of the industry’s top A-list celebrities. I am best known for creating some of the finest bespoke suits in Atlanta, GA. I have also lent my expertise to individuals in the political arena, working with governors as well as the CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta.
For the past five years, I have dedicated my time to building and operating Thee Manor Private Members Club, where I serve as Managing Director. Thee Manor is recognized as Atlanta’s Premier Social Club and has become the home of Mr. Classic’s Haberdashery, along with several other distinguished departments. This has always been a personal vision of mine: to create a place where individuals can receive a truly bespoke experience that engages all the senses. More than just a club, Thee Manor is a sanctuary where sophistication meets community, offering curated events and gatherings that unite class, culture, creativity, and connection—all within the timeless ambiance of a 1920s-inspired setting.
Inside Thee Manor, members and their guests enjoy a full spectrum of elevated experiences. Our Bespoke Clothier Department provides finely tailored garments for discerning individuals, while the Music & Entertainment Department curates evenings of refined enjoyment and artistic expression. The Art & Media Department celebrates creativity in all its forms, featuring mixed-media works from both in-house and guest artists, offering inspiration and cultural enrichment. Our Culinary Department, led by in-house Executive Chef Patricia, delivers exquisite dining experiences that blend tradition, innovation, and bold flavor. At Thee Manor, every detail is intentionally designed to elevate life’s moments—making it the club of choice for Atlanta’s leaders, creatives, and visionaries. Thee Manor is not merely a place to conduct business or host meetings; it is a space where the senses are invited to wander freely.
This business is truly a compilation of everything I love—from classic wardrobe and fine dining to music and immersive art. It was created to be shared with others and appreciated collectively, all while building an empire and leaving a legacy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have grown to say; “life has treated me better than it would like to, not as good as
I would have liked for it to, but no better than I deserve.” Things might not be easy or smooth but I realize it is necessary and with that, I take every challenge and struggle as
making the journey worth the travel.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Being the Managing Director of Thee Manor Private Members Club, I oversee all the departments under our umbrella, making sure to set everyone up with the opportunity to succeed at Thee Manor. I work closely with our members, handling all requests and delegating to the right department. I coordinate events and gatherings and facilitate all daily operations and procedures with our management team. I am most proud of the uniqueness of what my club has to offer our members. Being able house so many different experiences of luxury under one roof really sets us apart from other social clubs.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Building an Empire and leaving a Legacy. It makes me happy simply because I will be fulfilling my duty to my children and generations to come. “A nation grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit.
