Hi Jazmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I spent, probably too much time dreaming things up, different ideas and concepts. Then, I’d put my everything into bringing it to life. I love all things design.
Flutter and Mose came about unintentionally and passionately – through discovering a talent for visual presentation. During my time at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I found myself fully enjoying my graphic design courses, my product development courses, and my visual presentation and expedition design courses. For projects and papers, I would get all caught up in the details, design, and layout. There was always a look I was going for, and I always knew how I wanted my work to make people feel when they saw it.
In my various positions, I leaped at the opportunity to have a hand in whatever creative projects were going on. I loved putting together gift packages, merchandising showrooms and booths, and getting press packs and line sheets together – I can go on and on. Family members and friends would ask me for advice and to help them plan events and create items for their business, and before I knew it, I was deciding to open up a creative agency. My heart is filled with gratitude for all who have trusted me with their vision.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I never thought I’d be a business owner. This was actually never the goal. Now, I have much more on the way. The struggles you experience giving your company your brand your all is almost indescribable. The toughest part of it is getting in front of the right audience, YOUR audience, and building strong support. All mixed in with logistics, systems, processes, financials, and so on. Most of the time, it takes something to go wrong in order for you to put the correct systems in place. Another huge struggle is building a trusting team, but more than that, letting go of the fear of trusting anyone other than you with your hard work. It’s easy to be anxious or worried about unforeseen bumps in the road, but business ownership is all about mindset!

Having integrity is being authentic, being trustworthy, and having humility; it’s a foundation for you to stand on even when those challenges arise.
