Meet Jeff Shapiro of Impact Mailers in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Shapiro.

Jeff, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been in the printing industry for my entire working life. I started in the newspaper industry in South Florida, in advertising sales. I moved to Atlanta in the late 90’s and started my first company in 2004. My company created newspaper inserts for publications across the country.

Once digital advertising picked up, I saw the need for a shift in my products and services. I created Impact Mailers in 2013 which the intent to modernize the direct mail industry into a more 1:1 marketing approach.

With a small investment of my own, I have grown the company to achieve a staff of seven employees, all dedicated to the growth of Impact Mailers in every aspect. I strive to help our clients fully understand the best marketing and advertising strategy for their specific business.

We were featured in the Inc Magazine’s 5000 Fastest Growing Companies on our first year of eligibility, coming in at a ranking of #92 in the country.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to starting a company is not always a smooth or quick path. I found the biggest struggles along the way have been diving into the unknown. Upon making that initial investment, I took a huge financial risk and gambled with hiring the right talent, structuring the business effectively, and predicting growth. Being an entrepreneur is a very high risk, high reward job.

Please tell us about Impact Mailers.
Impact Mailers provides full-service marketing strategy for clients in multiple industries such as restaurants, health clubs, gyms, schools, and automotive service shops. We are mostly known for our flagship product, our laminated postcard which includes snap-out gift cards and loyalty programs.

We also provide digital marketing strategies for our clients such as text-to-mobile programs, IP Targeting, and Call-Tracking Services. We strive to be that full-service one-stop-shop for our clients when planning their marketing campaigns.

Our strong belief in exceptional customer service and quick response time is what sets us apart from other similar companies.

We are very proud of our ability to help a new or seasoned business owner make the right decisions that will provide the best return on investment.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is definitely playing team sports. I was an avid athlete and especially enjoyed playing recreational softball. I played for twenty years, and still enjoy playing today.

Growing up playing competitive sports taught me how to play well with others, treat others fairly, and collaborate. My competitive nature is still a strong quality within me. I believe this competitive nature is what drives me to continue growing my business while nurturing a team-player environment at the office.
