Meet Jeffery Vallier of JVallierStyles in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffery Vallier.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jeffery. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Moving to Atlanta in 2008 to attend Clark Atlanta University as a Business Administration Major, I quickly grasped the difference between “passion” and “purpose.” Starting my career endeavors and path on a road to corporate America, I was excited and enthusiastic to be the next Marketing Moguel of my generation. Being President of the most prominent organizations on campus, being actively involved in the community, and holding titles I knew that “this” was what I wanted. It wasn’t until my sophomore year at Clark Atlanta, I realized that fashion was something that interests me.

Starting as a model for several college fashion shows, I quickly began to recalibrate my vision on what I loved to do and what I wanted to do. Completing my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, I used this as a platform to enhance my passion of being a personal stylist. Receiving my first “big break” as an assistant to celebrity stylist Leah Taylor, I quickly began learning the ropes. Assisting her on high profile celebrity photoshoots, video shoots, and personal shopping, I knew that I had a gift as a stylist.

Branching out on my own in 2014, I took the leap of faith and started my own business as a personal stylist and shopper. Getting my first photoshoot and opportunity, thanks to Bernard Love (Creative Director), I worked as backstage manager for LVL XII (Designer Antonio Brown and Jason Derulo). It was in 2016 when I got the call from Bernard that we were doing NY Fashion Week. From that moment on, I began to make a name for myself.

I have had the pleasure and honor of styling some of the best people from doctors, lawyers, entertainers and TV personalities. With all of this, it has been an amazing journey and learning experience that has taught me a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry. With this, it has opened up doors for me to explore other avenues of my talents such as doing PR/Marketing on a personal scale for clients such as Dr. Stanley Kalish (World Renowned Inventor, Lecturer, and Podiatrist) and Misty Washington (Owner of Misty Artesian Water).

You’ve had a lot of success already. Has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
By all means, being in the fashion industry is NOT easy and not always FUN. The biggest struggle for me is understanding that EVERYONE is a critic. No matter how good you are, there is going to be someone who isn’t always fund of your work. As I enhanced my skill set and my craft, I take critics as my teachers. I learn from the good opinions and the bad ones.

JVallierStyles – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
J.VallierStyles is a personal styling and shopping business that caters to the emotions. Fashion is a feel good, which is why I’m passionate about it. Understanding that I have the power and ability to make people not only look amazing but feel amazing, I tailor my work to doing just that. My specialty is luxury timeless fashion. I cater to more of the GQ aesthetic.

My greatest accomplishment since starting J.VallierStyles has been doing NY Fashion Week. Working in the fashion industry, it should be everyone’s dream to work NY Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Having the opportunity to do such a huge event and succeed, I was able to prove to myself that hard work and dedication will always pay off.

My brand and quality sets me apart due to the nature of how I do what I do and what I do. When I work with clients, I create a certain je ne sais quoi about a person. Making every gentleman a debonaire gentleman and every woman a distinguished woman.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Being apart of NY Fashion Week.
