Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Matchett.
Jennifer, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After a lifetime of collecting vintage and heirloom pieces, I wanted to create unique jewelry and accessories you wouldn’t want to live without. After finding some deadstock acetate, I was inspired to create sculptural tortoiseshell earrings that quickly took off after we first launched and were featured in Vogue in 2017. Today we’ve expanded to a variety of product lines including our recently launched combs, heirloom hair clips, repurposed pearl necklaces, and perfect hoop earrings. All materials are conscious & ethically sourced, including our shipping materials and biodegradable jewelry storage bags. After starting in a small 500 sq ft studio we have now expanded to a team of 6 in an office and warehouse in Marietta, GA. Has it been a smooth road?
I find that one of our biggest obstacles has been finding responsible companies to partner with without sacrificing our ethos of quality & responsible consumption while trying to stay on the pulse of the newest innovations of ecologically driven production & practices.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in the area or in the industry here has been incredibly warm and welcoming. I feel like it comes from Atlanta being such a transient city and welcoming so many here. I can’t imagine running my business anywhere else! Dislikes: Not having the time to explore the city more.
