Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerome Beazer.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jerome. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started modeling the summer prior to attending Jacksonville University, where I had a D1 scholarship to play football. Scheduling conflicts arose often. I left Jacksonville and went to play football at Georgia Military College. This is where I began acting and can be seen on the CW Network “Legacies” season 1 episode 10; Comedy Central upcoming show “Robbie”; Personal Injury Court will air Sept 26th on The CW Network; I played Joel in The Reject’s club; Josh in Assumptions; and the friend in Domani Harris’ music video (T.I.’s son); Hitting the runway Modeling @ Art Meso in Atlanta October 5th w/ National & International Designers.
The day of Domani Harris’ music video shoot “One Day” I got into an accident where I fractured my knee cap prior to the video but I was determined to still make the shoot. Although I was in pain I didn’t realize my knee was fracture until the next day after seeing the doctor. I was in a full leg brace for eight weeks afterward there was rehab. That put me out for the season.
Majoring in Kinesiology along with the constant workout regiment as an athlete I’ve also had the desire to train and work in athlete training or personal training. Therefore, I decided to accept a position at LA Fitness where duties include sales and personal training.
This ties all my worlds together because as a model/actor I need to be physically fit. I love working out and I also love helping others look their best by assisting them to realize their fitness goals.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Things may not always go as planned but you have to push through and persevere. There is a purpose in your pain and your story can help or inspire others. It can also lead you to your actual calling on your life. God knows the plans he has for you.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
As a model, I’m 6’4″, physically fit, and love the runway. I’m constantly growing as an actor working on script analysis and breakdown characters etc. As a personal trainer, I get excited when seeing the results of clients and their increased confidence after having accomplished their goals. Each person is different and workouts are custom made based on the client’s wants and needs. With a 9 million dollar facility we can design a variety of programs to satisfy the client.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Never give up. Each day that you wake up is a new opportunity to grow and do something great.
