We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road — but it has been a precise one.

One of the earliest challenges was resisting the traditional stylist model. The industry is structured around volume, speed, and trend turnover. My work required building something slower, quieter, and relationship-based — a private advisory model that depends on trust, discretion, and long memory rather than transactions.

Another challenge was learning that not all growth is aligned growth. Saying no to the wrong clients, the wrong rooms, and the wrong positioning was essential. In the luxury and executive space, reputation compounds more than revenue. Protecting this mattered more than scaling quickly.

Perhaps the most demanding challenge has been building a business that cannot be mass-marketed. High-trust work does not move through algorithms — it moves through relationships, referrals, and results. That required patience, restraint, and the discipline to let the work speak quietly but powerfully.

Those challenges shaped the brand into what it is today: an advisory built on longevity, discretion, and precision — not trends or volume.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for Those Just Starting Out do not build your career around attention. Build it around trust.

Early in my career, I believed growth meant being visible everywhere, serving everyone, and saying yes more often than no. What I learned is that reputation compounds faster than reach. The rooms you choose, the clients you accept, and the standards you keep will shape your long term positioning far more than volume ever will.

Protect your signal before you protect your revenue. Not all money strengthens your brand. Not all exposure elevates your authority. Learn to choose alignment over acceleration.

Build something that does not depend on algorithms or trends. Relationship based work creates longevity. When trust becomes your primary asset, growth becomes durable rather than fragile.

I wish I had known sooner that restraint is not slow. It is strategic. Build slowly. Build precisely. Build something that can outlive you. That is the real work.
