Meet Jessica Isabel Aguilar Ramirez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Isabel Aguilar Ramirez.

Hi Jessica Isabel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, My name is Jessica. I am a 24 year old creative, lover of the arts, small business owner with a big dream! My love for the arts began as a young girl with coloring books. I was that one kid that would make sure I didn’t go over the lines with my starter pack of crayons. It’s cool because I still am that way with my own creative work. I began learning more about my creative expression growing up through the years of my education and my families support with Christmas holidays filled with art supplies as gifts. The freedom of expression with colors, designs, mediums, and textures made me so excited. The possibilities were endless. Art class was not a place where it felt like a chore to most students. Art class was my way to de-stress. To experiment with anything around me, it was fun.

Through the years of high school, times became different. I became more aware of the things happening in my life. Drawing and focusing on a project kept me busy in the comfort of the home I shared with my mom at the time and my two siblings. The more I learned within myself you can see the growth even in the Art itself. That’s the beauty of what it is I do. Through my illustrated designs, I have connected my personal experiences. Neurographica became my focus of study during the time of a big loss in my life. I always told myself that there must be a name to this feeling of ease and fresh air. Through Neurographica, your drawing is based on mindfulness. You experience self-transformation in the creative process and in your artwork.

Ever since I began using this technique, it has helped me evolve my reality by engaging my emotional and aesthetic intelligence. I have discovered many solutions to things I thought would have torn me down after losing the closest person in my life. It shook me up and my art and designs I create give me the ease I need in my life to balance the responsibilities given to me today. After a long day, I dedicate the remainder of my day to taking care of my family and working on my next project. Art is my Zen. My work is my passion.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road I took to get me to where I currently am was not smooth. I hit a lot of moments in my life where I needed to work more in order to survive in times of crisis. I began selling my designs as stickers and keychains which brought great buyers and reviews. Those funds support me and my family today. I continued to draw and with time I learned how to sell my work and skills. My skills have brought me great opportunities in my life. My full-time job supports my love for the arts. They have put me in the marketing team as a digital designer for our monthly newsletters. The road to get to where I am took several years of dedication and discipline. I live my life as an artist and a full-time caregiver to my family at home. I also work in the billing administration at my full-time job. My art is my way to destress from those challenges. It brings me financial support and also so much joy. To know that it also brings others joy is my purpose in this world. My art is a way away from those heavy turmoil. A colorful escape is what you see.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the artist behind J3ssicuhsart. I create my own unique pieces of art and also custom designs for people interested in my skillset. I offer designs for services such as logos for upcoming businesses, custom designs for printing services, mural designs, and custom painted or illustrated pieces, etc. I am known for my holographic stickers of my designs. I have stickers posted in the cities around me such as Roswell, Alpharetta, Downtown Atlanta, Tennessee and Wynwood Art District in Miami, Florida, etc. My stickers have a QR code that directs you straight to my website where you can purchase my work or shoot me an email to work together. My goal was to make it easy for my supporters or future buyers to connect with me. J3ssicuhsart is my passion. I enjoy the endless possibilities I have as an Artist.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
My definition of success is being able to provide anything needed for my family at home. I am working towards generational wealth. I want to give back to my parents who worked their butt off to get me where I am today. My mother who is in heaven is getting a house like I always promised her I would get her. My father needs to rest. I treat myself when everything else is taken care of. Rest is everything to me. Being my autistic brother’s caregiver is a great job but it does have its tiresome days. J3ssicuhsart lets me work from home in what I love to call my creative lab. While I work on my designs, I also tend to my family. I’m on go mode when my creative juices are flowing. Kitchen. Studio. Kitchen. Studio. Dishes. Studio. My creative expression has given me great success in ways I did not expect. I am having fun but also providing a service to a person who is looking to expand. Their joy brings fireworks into my life. It keeps the creativity pumping. Success is being able to do what I love and also allowing that passion to support others. Ideas and opportunities are everywhere all over the world. That’s what makes what I do exciting.
