Hi voyage editors, It is such a pleasure to take this interview for my talented designer friend, Jing Liu. I am Jiajia Wang, the creative director of Dundu.n International, a luminary in the realm of Fashion Creative Marketing, nestled within the heart of New York. Our focus, a beacon of distinction, rests upon the choreography of interactive events and the seamless orchestration of PR services, all tailored for the adornment of designer fashion brands.
Our path, distinct from the known trail of traditional fashion affairs, meanders through the enigmatic woods of ever-changing themes. As the seasons unfurl, so do our narratives. A chapter etched in the scrolls of May reveals a “Dinner Fashion Exhibition,” where an elongated table transforms into an altar for fashion jewelry, a visual feast to satiate the seekers of elegance. Diverging from the conventional trajectory of PR firms, our distinctive emphasis rests on orchestrating interactive fashion encounters for all who grace our events. Our canvas spans an array of forms, from evocative exhibitions to the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies such as VR and AR, amplifying the narrative of brands. Our compass unfailingly points to the twin lodestars of engagement and connection – a compass that guides us in curating experiences that resonate with both fashion connoisseurs and every curious visitor who graces our realm. Yet, amidst this dynamic orchestration, my heart finds its resonance in a simple pleasure – the act of listening. From the varied cadence of voices, a mosaic of comments and thoughts emerges, a symphony that enriches our understanding. The spectrum of feedback, a blend of praise and critique, forms the bedrock of our growth, a compass pointing to avenues of improvement. It’s akin to a grand soirée where opinions converge, creating a vibrant tapestry that enriches our journey and adds an element of festivity.
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Jing Liu and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Jing.
My first encounter with Jing unfolded through the prism of her brand’s singular event. It was there that she unfurled the intricate narratives underpinning her designs, weaving tales that resonated deeply. Inviting her to partake in our gatherings was an instinctive step, for Mona Jewelry’s essence extends beyond sustainability; it embodies a tale more profound. Jing’s designs are infused with a certain “tenderness,” a quality that etched itself into my memory during our inaugural collaboration last year. Her evocative creation depicted an underwater reverie, a testament to her diving odyssey. In her portrayal, snails, in an act of serene grace, embarked on a gentle journey out of their shells. This poignant observation manifested in her setting, adorned with shells culled from her underwater sojourn. Herein lies Jing’s artistry — a departure from the grandiose narratives, she adeptly channels the splendor of the every day into her designs, narratives, and mise-en-scène, an alchemy that unfailingly tugs at the heartstrings.
Yet, beyond her creative finesse, Jing radiates boundless energy, making interactions a seamless dance. Engaging with her, one is enveloped by the sheer delight of her tales, her design chronicles, and the symphony of her craft.
