Hi Jill St., please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Jill Williams aka Jay-Jill effectionatly known as “The Glam Queen”. I help “Beauti-preneurs launch their own private-label skincare and makeup line via my online platform the Jay-Jill Glamcademy. I currently work with over 30 plus Spa Professionals and Entrepreneurs who are in the beginning stages of their product lines ranging from skincare, brows, nail polish, shampoo & conditioner and more. I also assist those who have trouble with business formation, setting up their business with the basic necessities of marketing to gain new clients and customers.
I am a Licensed Esthetician of five years, Professional Makeup Artist Specializing in Eyebrow Tinting and Sculpting, Facials and Body Contouring, Plus Model and Actress and Retired Corrections Officer, I am known for being the plug to help beauty pro’s or anyone looking to start a beauty business. I have won 2 awards for “Best Products” and Spa Excellence Award” Nominated by Candice Holyfield Parker “Six Figure Spa Chick “Black Spa Awards 2021” and I am currently nominated again for 2022.
I own Jay-Jill Cosmetics Glamtique & Spa, Jay-Jill Cosmetics and Pure Screening Solutions which is a DOT/NON-DOT Drug Testing Site located within my spa based in Gainesville, FL (The glamtique serves a unique purpose lol) I also collaborate with my Business Bestie Ericka Roberts Owner of Massage World Med Spa in Mcdonough, GA Accredited by. I currently host Brow Tint & Sculpt classes and offer Brow Tint Services while Ericka specializes and offers continuing education classes for Post Op Lymphatic Drainage and Body Contouring in which you get 12 CEU’S once per month. Massage World Med Spa is accredited by the NCBTMB “National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.
I was born into entrepreneurship. My mom owned Flo’s Beauty Salon and my dad currently owns James Janitorial Service, I was raised in the hair salon around makeup and fashion. What I learned from my parents is how I started my journey. I couldn’t help but to own my own business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My number one challenge has always been staying consistent with marketing and funding and getting new clients. I overcome those challenges by utilizing business credit and not using my personal money and now I’m able to put more money into marketing to reach new people.
I have also learned that when collaborating with others in your industry is a win-win for both sides. I learned a very long time ago in my modeling days. You can not walk into a room and not open your mouth. You must introduce yourself and meet new people. You must get outside of your local city if you want to flourish.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My Specialty is Eyebrow Sculpting and Body Contouring. I cater to those who suffer with thinning or sparse eyebrows. A client may have been on harsh meds due to chemotherapy and may not have any brows. For them, microblading is not an option. I am here to bring back the smile and self-confidence with a simple brow sculpt.
As for Cavi-Lipo-A non-invasive procedure that emulsifies fat and converts solid fat into a liquid that is easy to remove through the lymphatic and urinary systems. A client can lose up to 2-4 inches in 1 session if you follow protocol. I love to see my client’s faces when they see the before and after photos of their waistline.
