Today we’d like to introduce you to Jnyse Gray.
Jnyse, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started out doing small things around the salon my mother worked at. She is a licensed cosmetologist as well. I swept up the shop and did store runs while watching my mom and her coworkers work magic on women’s hair. The joy in their eyes as they changed people’s lives is what made me fall in love with the beauty industry. As I got older, I taught myself new trends, such as silk presses and sew-ins and started to build my clientele. I enrolled in cosmetology school in 2017, and that is where I developed my passion for nails and lashes as well. I got better and better at my craft as the years came and went and my work soon spoke for itself.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing in life worth having comes easy. I’ve had many many bumps in my road to success, and I know there’s more to come. But with GOD on my side, I can conquer anything.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Beauty Bando story. Tell us more about it.
Beauty Bando is a place where women can come and feel great about themselves. It is a judgment-free zone. I call my clients “Beauty Bandits” because when they get out of my chair, they feel like they’ve stolen all the beauty in the world. I do hair, lashes, and nails and I feel like I am strong in all three categories. Nobody leaves my chair unsatisfied. I’m mostly known for my extravagant nail sets. Honestly speaking, my marketing and branding techniques are what got me noticed more. I recently dropped a song for my promo video coming soon. It’s called “#TOTBB” and you can check it out on YouTube. Going the extra mile for my business is what got me where I am today.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my business being bigger than ever in the next 5 to 10 years. I foresee myself expanding and possibly making my business global. I want to travel the world and service beautiful people everywhere.
