Joana, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is, Joana Nozime. I am a licensed Georgia and Florida real estate broker. I graduated from Florida A&M University, “Go Rattlers.” Where I received a B.S in Accounting and received my M.S Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Focus in Strategic negotiation & Marketing. I have used my experience in accounting as a benefit to taking a unique approach to real estate and looking forward to using my skills set into developing a top tech-friendly real estate brokerage firm nationally and internationally.
My long interest in real estate started by watching and learning from my parents, who flipped homes all across the world. Watching them from a young age, I knew I wanted to get involved in the real estate industry. When I obtained my real estate licensed about five years ago, I knew that my ultimate goal was to open a brokerage. After years of hard work, planning, and going through ups and downs, the time is finally here and it’s exciting!
More than real estate, I am a mother to a loving four-year-old boy named AJ and a Wife of six years to my husband, Aaron Leon. My family is the motivation that keeps me going. My goal is to leave a legacy for my son and generations to come. With years of experience helping buyers locally, I know how to locate the finest property and negotiate the best deals. I am a high-energy, highly motivated person with drive, determination, and commitment to my clients. Whether you are a first-time buyer, experienced homeowner, or investor, my knowledge and experience will be a great resource for you in your home purchase or sale.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
A couple of years ago, when I started in the real estate business, I was fresh. I was eager and excited for what the future had to offer. As the saying goes, “if you want God to laugh, tell him your plans,” and I live for planning. I plan for everything but what I didn’t plan for is time for myself. At the beginning of my career, I was a new mother, wife and shortly after enrolled in my master’s program at FIU, as you can imagine juggling a new career, baby, wifely duties and school can become overwhelming.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, I’ve learned and have grown from everything and every decision that I’ve made so far. I believe ultimately. It helped me to become the businesswoman that I am today. However, if I could change one thing, it would be finding more time for myself through the years.
