Meet Jocelyn Smith of infinitee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jocelyn Smith.

Jocelyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Barbara McGraw, my partner and I founded our agency, infinitee, on one foundation: Passion. A passion for marketing, a passion for assessing client goals and exceeding expectations, a passion for learning and staying abreast of change, and a passion for commitment to each other, our team and our clients.

Nearly three decades later, passion is still my driving force. I’m passionate about generating the right strategy and the right plan to produce results. I’m a good listener and understand your goals to tailor the best solution. I believe your success is our success and there’s no “I” in team. Genuinely, I care about my clients and my employees.

I’m passionate about learning new things, staying “in the know” of what’s to come, and am an avid reader of my industry’s publications and my clients’. I’ve made a career out of adapting to change and evolving to meet market demands year over year. After all, infinitee thrives 28 years later under the same women-owned, founding partnership!

Beyond my infinitee family is my husband of 31 years, Brian, and two children, Chase and Chelsea, who are both University of Georgia graduates (Go Dawgs!). infinitee started the same year Chase was born and it’s been a pleasure to watch them grow simultaneously. Born and raised in the Northeast, I’m a Pittsburgh Steelers fan transplanted to the South who heads West to ski when I can. I’m a fitness fanatic willing to try anything new and a breast cancer survivor of 10+ years.

My ambition is simple: I work hard to make myself and my clients the best. Throughout my career of helping small to large companies launch new brands, products and projects, there’s one that really stands out: our longest standing client relationship being agency of record for Tanger Outlets for 21+ years. I’ve had the privilege of expanding into diverse markets from retail to real estate, healthcare, education, finance and more building a well-renowned client roster.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not just surviving, but flourishing for the last two decades requires vision and insight about what the future will bring. Our ability to adapt and adopt new technology and integrated digital media services keeps our agency in the forefront of the latest trends and tools that change on a daily basis in today’s marketing ecosystem.

Change is expected and constant in our business which we embrace even when it means overcoming objection and rejection. We have been fortunate that many of our clients have been with us for over 10 years or more, but we certainly have pitched and lost our fair share over the last twenty-eight years. Rising above disappointment has been an essential trait and one that all entrepreneurs must possess.

Learning how to deal with adversity and challenge is the true sign of a great team and our success is all do to the amazing group of people that make up infinitee.
