Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodi Wick.
Hi Jodi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m merely a city boi from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I moved to Atlanta to pursue my acting, and further my modeling. I’m also a dancer of various forms (mainly burlesque). I moved here with the thought in mind to not only work to establish myself ans a serious model, and actor, but as a business man in general. I have had some ups and downs along the way but nothing gnhas deterred me from my dreams. Growing upni was told a lot of what I can’t do. Good thing I never listened to any of it for a second. I take great joy in proving people wrong
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Due to past unstable living situations, I had times where had to put my passion on the back burner to get myself back in a better position to my crafts with no restraints. Good thing is I am not one to fold under pressure. I powered through all my obstacles and I have only gotten stronger from my experiences. Being in Atlanta with no real family has shaped into man I could have only dreamed about. I learned I am resilient, genuine, ambitious, and tough as hell. I can’t stop and I won’t stop.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a professional Model (runway as well as print). 4 years. Being a male model who is on the shorter side, I learned I had to put forth a little more work to stand out. I will put walk any tall guy you decide to put me up against.
I am an actor (2 years).
Martial artist/ kickboxing (12 years), and with thay ahs came some mentoring, as well as grist knowledge of the human body and self control.
I am a dancer (burlesque, hip hop, exotic). When I dance, I like to tell a story. A story that compels you to stay thru the end and learn more about me through my dancing
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
It won’t always happen when you want. But when the time comes, you just have to be ready
