

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodie Sturgeon.
Jodie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I currently own For All Occasions and More, kosher catering company since 2009. I have over 1o years experience in “the Kosher World” and more than 15 years in the culinary profession. I went to Johnson & Wales University in Providence RI and graduate with an Associate Degree in 2000 and a Bachelor Degree in 2002 both in Culinary Arts. I moved down to Atlanta with a job at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead after a year I move on to Bagel Break (Kosher). After working there a few years I took it over and shortly closed the store and since then I have been doing Kosher Catering.
Customers find it interesting that I am not Jewish.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning your own business is sometimes no picnic especially when you just starting out.
You have to manage everything yet delegate or you will burn out quickly. Delegating is hard to do when you want your hands in everything, buts it’s essential for balance.
For All Occasions and More – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a kosher catering company and supervised by the Atlanta Kashruth Commission (AKC). We are Kosher Dairy, Glatt Kosher (meat), and all our breads and most desserts come from our Pareve Kitchen and are Pas Yisrael. I am most proud when we have 5 events going on at the same time at I can make an appearance at each one. My creativeness and willingness to work with my customer s budget and their projected ideas to make their event wonderful and they are satisfied, sets me apart from others.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
That we are here in our 8th year as this company. That I have not lost the creativity and it’s still growing

Jodie, you were always extra creative and I remember when you were graduating from Johnson & Wales culinary school, your ice sculptures were magnificent and I hardly see them perhaps because there’s no call for them but they should know that you are spectacular in that as well. Go girl so proud of you and all that you have accomplished and more. Love, Aunt Brenda
