Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Peeples.
Joe, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I started making music away from the age of 12! At first, it was just using pens and a desk or beats boxing. Then I STARTED putting words to my Lil taps! With this quick style I have, I thought I had an advantage and skill others didnt! Basically just tried to present my pain as dope as possible. After a while. I taught my self how to make beats on fl studio for three reasons. 1, cause MFKS wasnt making the beats I wanted. 2, if they did it was crazy expensive and three cause I knew I would eventually be good at it!😏
Started a few Lil rap groups and labels but who hasn’t when you first start. You know..rapping with your friends and fam as a hobby or w.e.. Then you know that old story… Link with people..They Fxcc you over or yall fall out and you have to restart!my restart was starting a brand call #TDUL or TURN DIS UP LOUDA in which I took every mistake I made in the past and tried to fix it or prevent it! Its a lifestyle really. With this TDUL ish its more like WE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY AND WILL BE HEARD. I didnt want it music related..but built to the point that anything you do in life, you can TURN IT UP LOUDA. We made it off of love! NOTHING BUT BIG LOVE! And tbh.. Ever since we started. We have done nothing but expand! Now we do shows, events for children, we give back to the community and all of that!🤙🏿
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Man whatttttt! Hell yeah! Feel out with friends and family. Relationships have gone south, no support from most. I used to quit every damn day! People trying to sabotage, copyrights infringed on other’s end, lost money on money, mentally struggled with the worst of them. Addiction was 🤬 as well! To the point, it makes it seem like life is even worth it! But I realize even to this day…
Me being an artist.. I might have to go thru alot of things to be able to help the next person or to let atleast them know you are Not alone! This life thing is wild and nobdoy knows all the answers…but we each one teach one on this side!
Turn dis Up Louda Ent #TDUL – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
WE ARE MOST KNOWN FOR MUSIC! We are on all streaming platforms. Apple music Google play tidal Spotify etc. I personally run three studios! So music production, artist development and engineering! Cough cough BEST PRICES AND QUALITY!😏On top of that, I am 1/3 of a prod team called “THE SAVAGES” @peeplesshawdy @smittyonthetrack and @_kb_the_producer_ But what I’m most proud of us for is our community events and shows. Linked with #AktiionProductions @aboutaktiion and #GodsSquad2910 and We give back! I understand that people purchase my music, apparel and things and they work hard for thiers. So I try my best to do something for their kids and families often and free!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Tbh. Its whatever if you make it. I think hitting your own milestones and markers is it! I’ve successfully been able to pay all my bills and live a comfortable life off music SINCE THE JUMP and it is only getting more significant and more productive. To some people.. That’s not enough. To others, that’s the dream. To me, as long as I can take care of all my responsibilities. And put others in a position to potentially do the same or even more and LEGALLY, IM STRINAGHTTTTT!
