How a Childhood Fascination with Space Inspired a Unique Consulting Venture

Ever since I was a child, my eyes were always drawn to the stars. The mysteries of space, the grand dreams of exploration, and the endless possibilities captured my imagination. That passion led me, about eight years ago, to join an international non-governmental organization called “Asgardia Space Nation.” Their ambitious mission—to create the first real nation in space—resonated deeply with me. I saw in Asgardia a chance to be part of something extraordinary, a community daring enough to turn humanity’s oldest fantasy into reality.

As I found my footing within the organization, a new opportunity presented itself: joining Asgardia’s political structure. Encouraged by my peers, I entered the parliament elections with enthusiasm but little expectation. To my surprise, I won a seat in their parliament. What I discovered next was a revelation—I fell in love with the intricate world of legislative law, policy writing, and all the administrative tasks that came with being a legislator. The joy I found in this work was transformative. It pushed me to become a better version of myself and inspired me, even as an adult, to return to college to pursue a degree in political science. I wanted to enhance my skills and contribute even more effectively as a legislator.

My commitment to learning and excellence paid off. I soon became known among my colleagues as the “legislative expert.” Fellow parliamentarians often sought my advice and consulting on matters of law and policy. It was during this period that I realized just how much I enjoyed legislative work, and more importantly, how good I was at it. That realization sparked the idea for my own business—a consulting agency that could share my expertise in legislative law with a global audience.

And so, The Fine Consulting Agency (FCA) was born. While 99 percent of my work is still rooted in Asgardia, FCA has branched out to provide consulting on legislative law, diplomacy, policy, and all aspects of legislative administration. Serving as Chairman of Trade and Commerce during my time in Asgardia parliament, I also became well-versed in matters of trade, commerce, and related policy. This experience has allowed me to consult on a diverse range of topics, making my work both exciting and impactful.

Looking back, I realize that the journey from childhood fascination with space to leading my own consulting business was driven by curiosity, dedication, and a willingness to embrace new challenges. My experiences have shaped me into a professional who not only excels in legislative work but truly enjoys every moment of it. I know that my experience, dedication, commitment, and strong work ethic make me a valuable asset for anyone seeking expertise in these fields—not just because I am good at what I do, but because I have a genuine passion for it.

If my story inspires even one person to follow their passion and turn it into a fulfilling career, then sharing it has been worthwhile. After all, sometimes the smallest spark—whether it’s a fascination with the stars or a newfound love for legislative work—can ignite a journey that is truly out of this world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Many of my initial challenges involved acclimating to the collegiate environment as an adult. I quickly recognised a considerable disparity in ideologies. Nevertheless, I was able to bridge this divide through accumulated wisdom and experience and ultimately earned the respect of my peers. Subsequently, when establishing my business, media relations proved to be the most significant obstacle, given my lack of a dedicated media team and limited familiarity with effective social media outreach. Engagements with Asgardia Space Nation allowed me to temporarily set aside these concerns, though I acknowledge that addressing them will be essential in the future.
