Meet Jonathan Drake of RedCube Creative in West of Atlanta, Carrollton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Drake.

Jonathan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I and my business partner Brian Little had separate companies and decided that a joint venture really could help us get to the next level. Brian is very business minded and handles that side of our company while I handle all of the creative direction and last minute tweaks on our client’s projects to make sure we keep our level of quality as high as possible. One of the most recent products that we have launched is what we call our “Small Business Packages.” This is an all-in-one solution to help any small business create the professional online presence they have always dreamed of at a low affordable cost. We really believe in small business and one of our core values is relationships. We want our clients to know they are not just a number but that we can have an ongoing relationship with them far after the project is finished. Our company, which is based in Carrollton is focused on creating a quality product but working within your budget to help you achieve your goal. Our office is located in downtown Carrollton and we have a team of between 10-15. Most of our team consists of contractors that we work with on a per-project basis, but we also have some interns from the University of West GA that are getting hands-on experience working with us throughout the week. Our tag line for our company is “A Creative Collaboration” and that really sums up what our company is all about. We can do more and higher quality projects when we work together.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
RedCube Creative has only been in existence for a little over a year. We are big dreamers and are always casting vision for the future. I would say the only challenges we have had is finding the right people that fit on our team. We don’t look for people that are at the top of their field and have been doing their craft for 20 years, we just want individuals who are willing to work hard and are passionate about learning and growing. We have had a few that looked like good fits but ultimately just didn’t make the cut and it wasn’t because of their skill level. We are trying to help our team realize that we only get one chance at this. Our reputation is everything and so we want to make sure we make a great first impression with our clients. We had an issue with one of our team members not making deadlines and for me, that just isn’t going to cut it. I will not miss a deadline. If I want the client to take me seriously then I need to take their deadlines serious and treat them with the utmost respect. Other than that, I can say that we have been really blessed so far. We have stayed consistently busy and we know the best is yet to come.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with RedCube Creative – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We do a little bit of everything in the media world. Our main focus areas are Photography, Video Production, Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, and Social Media. I think what sets us apart is that we truly can be your one stop shop when it comes to branding for your company. Not only do we produce the products, but we also have an amazing team that conceptually dreams up the creative direction for a project. We have shot a number of commercials for tv and our team has run the show from the scripting to location scouting all the way through the shooting and post-production process. I’m very proud of our team and the abilities they have. We have worked with companies that are worth in the hundreds of millions of dollars as well as the start-up company who is just getting going. We are storytellers at heart. We love to help a company or individual share their heart and vision for their company and see that come to life. I go back to relationships. For us, it is all about the connection between us and the client. If you don’t feel comfortable with someone, then it’s going to be very difficult to work together and accomplish the common goal. We want to put people at ease and let them know from the first few minutes that they can breathe easy around us. We are very easy going and at the end of the day, we want to give you something you will be proud of. I believe that is what sets us apart.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our Small Business Packages are the huge push right now. We want to get the word out and help people understand they don’t have to settle for mediocre. We have spent a lot of time developing this website and hope that people will see the huge benefit in getting a Small Business Package. We also are getting into the Wedding of Event Venue market and have some packages geared specifically for them. We will be launching RedCubeVenues.co very soon. But for more information on that, they can contact us directly for now.
