Meet Jordan Frechtman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Frechtman.

Hi Jordan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am an actor, writer, and movie lover. I first fell in love with movies when I was six years old. My Dad took me to see the original Star Wars for the 20th anniversary. Even though my path of wanting to make movies didn’t come into focus until I was fifteen, I would say that was the night that planted that seed. I would run around my backyard pretending to be in my favorite movies, and then I realized maybe I could actually be in movies.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, which isn’t uncommon for actors or writers. Before moving to Atlanta, I lived in Los Angeles for eight years. During that time, I worked a wide variety of odd jobs and had long periods of time where I barely scraped by.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have worked professionally as an actor for the past several years, but of course that doesn’t mean that acting is my main source of income. I still have to work side jobs.

My true passion in addition to acting is writing/producing. My childhood best friend, Conor McAdam, is my creative partner. We are in the process of producing our first feature together, through our company, Same Brain Pictures.

I would say that what sets us apart is our eclectic taste. We have a wide variety of scripts that we are working on, rather than focusing on only one genre.

What’s next?
I’m hoping to produce this first film next year and then take it from there. It would be great if our company could expand in the near future, and we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to partnering with a more established production company.
