Meet Joseph David Smith of Noble Mobile Notary Services in Snellville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph David Smith.

Joseph David, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
John Douglas, owner of the best barbershop in the land, Fadeologist Barbershop of Lawrenceville, GA; Tad Newton, successful full-time entrepreneur in the personal consumer loans industry for over twenty years of Buford, GA; and Jerry Booker, personal friend and successful automotive industry icon of Buford, GA – each of those individuals reached out to me on numerous occasions and said, “Joe, you should become a notary.” As much as I love and respect those guys because we talked business all the time, I completely ignored them the first few times they collectively mentioned becoming one. I nodded my head, smiled and added my agreement with theirs but let the conversation fuse its way into the hundreds of other thoughts of the day. Talk about being uncoachable; I was that guy! What they knew, I didn’t know at the time was, launching another business in addition to my media marketing company, ride-share driver, technology sales, real estate investor and a medical device distributor, I was going to need something else to help bridge the income gap to support a family of four. What I later discovered was becoming a mobile notary will be a semiconductor to that and more! I guess, I’m just a 1099 kind-a-guy!

Introspective Noble Nugget: “What good is it to be in the company of great minds and great people who have achieved a high level of success and not heed their wisdom or insight on things that concern you from time to time? “Your immediate circle is just as important as the journey.” JdSmith

Has it been a smooth road?
“Smooth roads only become smoother after someone decides to pave the way.” JdSmith
Attention to detail is probably the biggest adjustment I had to make. I thought I was detailed-oriented, but after becoming a notary, I quickly realized I had room to grow. One of my mentors, Phillip Hogan, President of Signing Services of America, would call me and provide great mentorship and coaching on my notary assignments. He advised me on the best ways to avoid making costly mistakes. He would tell me constantly, “Joseph, in this business, rarely do you get a second chance to prove you are capable of getting the job done quickly and error free. Constant mistakes will quickly put you out of business with no place to hang the sign-up.” The biggest challenge I faced to date was figuring out how to scale and grow my business into a consistent sizeable monthly income. Am I there yet? Good question. I’m still learning, growing and asking lots of questions from others who have achieved the type of success I desire in this industry.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Noble Mobile Notary Services – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Noble Mobile Notary Services is my company. It began in 2016 and this is our second year in existence. I provide mobile notary, signing agent and courier services throughout 159 counties in Georgia, which covers the entire state. My book of business is growing each month with clients that range from professional athletes, private investigators, real estate investors, countless loan mortgage companies around the country, small-town banks and everyday people who need documents notarized. What makes me proud is the abundant gratitude I receive from clients who have NO idea this type of service exists until they need it and it’s after regular business hours, and they are frantic.

I remember when a client reached out to us around 7:00 p.m. on a Wednesday evening in a panic because her ex-husband had not mailed off their daughter’s passport parental consent form. The child needed the form by the next day by 7:30 a.m. signed and notarized or their daughter would not make their trip to France in the spring… of course, we got it done! The travel alone was almost four hours away from my home base to complete that assignment one way. Introspective Noble Nugget: “You can’t put a price tag on the feeling you get from serving people.” JdSmith

To date, Noble Mobile Notary Services has notarized over three hundred secured documents and counting. What sets me apart from other notaries is my dependability, superior customer service, confidentiality, wide coverage area and my growing notary knowledge base and business acumen.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What a great question. What I like least about my city is the TRAFFIC! As much as I love my city, I love it when visitors come to visit. It’s great for the local economy. The key word is VISIT not make Atlanta their home. Atlanta is FULL. Come and visit, get an Airnb or a hotel room, but don’t stay! Staying means, more traffic and more potholes. Another thing, is lack of professional and collegiate championship titles here. The collegiate team that has been able to string together multiple championships is my Georgia Southern Eagles (#HailSouthern), six championships to be exact just three hours and half hours south of Atlanta. I am such a Fan-O-Maniac of the Eagles too! Oh well, I guess we can’t have it all. Some of the best attributes of my city are the beautiful skylines, beautiful people, good weather most of the time, great property values and a thriving movie and television industry. We are the epicenter of hip-hop (old school for me though), countless Fortune 500 companies and a haven for entrepreneurs. Plus, we have a great quality of life right here in Atlanta, GA. By the way, I would like to personally thank that person(s) who thought enough of me and my business to nominate us for such a cool online magazine with interesting people and cool stories as its main ingredients. It is truly a honor to be apart of this edition of Voyage ATL. So remember, when YOU need a mobile notary, THINK Noble Mobile Services #noblemobilenotaryservices, because we’re just one signature away.
