Meet J’ryan Juelz of Santo Ermanno in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to J’ryan Juelz.

J’ryan, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After years of styling & personal shopping, I decided to create a line summer 2018 launched August 2nd, 2018, I had no idea that it would actually do as well as it has done, we touch so many people who have taken liking to the pieces, I just wanted to create and get ideas out of my head.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Creating dope pieces was never the hard part, the transition of watching art turn business was the struggle. I never went to school for business or Fashion design, but I’m a student at heart my personality helped me build relationships & connect with people, so brand placement was not hard, which is very important ,however once I started gaining clientele I ran into issues that I had not considered like, proper money management & responding to emails in a timely fashion. Communicating with customers was overwhelming, my first 90 days, I was getting about 7-10 pre-orders a day & double the emails/DMs daily. Also, opening a work Space/Studio for my new clothing business. That would end up getting shut down just months later due to a breach of contract due to lack of knowledge on my part #Struggles.

Please tell us about Santo Ermanno.
With Honor Santo Ermanno showcased very first pop up shop in NYC September of 2018 during New York fashion week, I pride my brand in having a variety of highs & lows, as a Stylist/Personal shopper that is what I give, for example tailored slacks with a t-shirt & runner thats a look, or a high end shoe or accessories with low end top & bottoms thats my thing & it works for me. At Santo, you can shop biker gear, or after five wear! Being a small brand new to the scene, I feel we are providing options for the people.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
6th-grade making life long friends who later turned family.
