Justin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Transplant from south Florida. Now residing in Atlanta GA, five years in the making. Since being in Atl, I have made a name for myself in this city, I’m considered one of the top makeup artists here in Atl. Went from working retail to music videos, television, and movies. I’ve worked with stars such as the Braxton’s on Wetv, K.Michelle, Asian doll, Tiffany Evans and so much more. Now, working for myself and running my own makeup artistry business. Makeup with Justin is incorporation run my me the one and only “Justin Douglas”. Potential clients are able to find my business through Google, Facebook, Instagram, and many other platforms. My website www.MakeupWithJustin.com showcases all of my work, from publications & tv networks I’ve worked with. My goal is to eventually open up my own shop and have it ran by employees I hire while I pursue and accomplish my other dreams such as singing & acting. Until then, I’m striving and working my hardest as the GoTo makeup Artist here in Atl.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
At times, it’s a struggle and there can be some inconsistencies when it comes to getting clients. Because everyone isn’t getting makeup down every day, someday even weeks you may go with clients, at times I’ll put out a deal here and there just to get the buzz back up and running to new and old clients. By doing this, it keeps me balanced and keeps me booked and busy.

While I cater to those who favor a more natural glam, I can still be versatile and beat your face to the gods quick fast and a hurry. Makeup is a process, but I get in and do my job quick and fast and flawlessly I have a 5-star rating on google also highly recommend by google. Not a lot of people can say that. I constantly get compliments on how fast I am and how beautiful my work is, that means the most to me.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Owing to my own shop, hiring stylists, makeup artist, nail techs to work my shop while people can still book me. But also pursue my dreams of becoming a musician.
