Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Landis. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Justin’s real estate journey began in 2003. He originally got his license to try his hand at flipping homes, but in 2008 he decided to transition into representing his friends and family as their trusted real estate agent. He found immediate success, with his first year’s production earning him top 10 status at his brokerage. This trend continued, and after five years of consistent sales growth, he officially started his own team—The Justin Landis Group—at the beginning of 2013.
The Justin Landis Group launched to the same level of success Justin had come to be known for in his career. JLG ranked second in production at our brokerage in our first year of operation, and we’ve continued on a path of explosive growth ever since. The Justin Landis Group now has over 50 members serving all of Metro Atlanta.
While we’re proud of our success, our journey is about much more than sales. In addition to selling thousands of homes, our team has spearheaded charity initiatives that have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to work toward ending homelessness in Atlanta. In 2021, we took our passion for our clients and community and launched a new kind of brokerage—Bolst Real Estate—to work together with other Metro Atlanta agents toward the goal of Housing For Everyone.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As rewarding as real estate and helping clients find their dream home is, Justin realized he wanted to make a bigger impact. For some of our city’s most vulnerable, the dream is a little different. Over 7,000 of our Atlanta neighbors wake up each morning simply hoping to find a safe and secure place to call home. We believe they deserve their dream just as much as anyone else, which is why we are proud to partner with the Atlanta Mission in their fight to end homelessness.
We first completed a fundraising campaign in the spring of 2018. That year, we raised $90,000, and the Atlanta Mission was able to use that pledge as a match campaign that brought in an additional $180,000! The initiative has only gotten bigger since, with almost $1,000,000 raised over the past 4 years. We’re so excited to see this year’s impact!
Through this passion of giving back to the community, Justin realized he wanted to start a brokerage to further elevate life and advance communities. Bolst was founded as a Benefit Corporation, a new corporate designation in Georgia for for-profit companies that also serve a public benefit. The benefits we’re working toward are a reduction in homelessness, more affordable housing, and increasing home ownership in underserved communities.
