Hi Kala, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the wellness industry for over 15 years as a licensed massage therapist, honing my craft in luxury establishments. I am honored to be Forbes 5-star trained. What I love most is bringing innovative treatments to Atlanta, like being the first to introduce PureSculpt. It’s everywhere now and starting that trend was a highlight for me. The last four years, my business thrived in Midtown, providing luxury wellness experiences.
This perseverance led to a recent opportunity that marks a new chapter: relocating to a beautiful facility in Buckhead. My work is about blending top-notch luxury with effective wellness solutions.Making sure every treatment at ATL Bodyworks is a step above. I intend to continue making a difference, one service at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?Smooth? That is hilarious! More like hills,valleys,twists,turns, dead ends and numerous cliff hangers. You make a decision to remove all distractions and stay focused. Anyone successful has not had a smooth road. My journey building ATL Bodyworks has been transformative and filled with numerous obstacles.
Due to the fact that I am a felon. I was determined to prove that my past would never define my future. When you intentionally build the right environment the right people will come.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have a responsibility to mentor wellness practitioners. I am an advocate of holistic care. It is my opinion. My opinion is that this blend of faith, experience, innovation and commitment to excellence is what sets me apart.

For those just stepping into the wellness industry. Your dedication to being the best for your clients. Without this, the risk of burnout is high and this might not be the path for you. Always maintain your professional integrity, posture, continual growth and respect for the industry are vital! Engage only in professional behaviors, respecting both the industry and yourself. Maintain high standards.Treat every interaction with respect.
