Meet Kambiz Safaie of Farsi Jewelers in Sandy Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kambiz Safaie.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kambiz. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I became a Graduate Gemologist 2 years after I started the company, but it wasn’t until 2004 that I fell in love with designing jewelry. I always had a passion for computers and I learned about different programs for designing jewelry that furthered my interest in jewelry design.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Over the past 20 years, there have been ups and downs. In the beginning, mostly downs. Getting through the recession was one of the hardest hurdles that I faced, but I truly believe that every struggle has shaped my business to become what it is today. I take every opportunity and experience to better myself and improve my business.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Farsi Jewelers story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a custom design jewelry store. Our motto is being “Your Imaginations, Our Creation” We are Atlanta’s go to company when people have unique ideas that they can’t wait to see come to life. From a unique, yet classic ring to a frog or mermaid engagement ring, to restoring a family heirloom or using an existing piece of jewelry to create a new one we are not afraid of a unique of crazy idea. At the end of the day it’s about what makes the customer excited and happy.

I love what I do. I love turning an idea into a reality that can be passed down from generation to generation. I specialize in creating one of a kind, custom made pieces. There have been many times that I’ve stayed up all night designing a piece, because I couldn’t wait to finish it and see how it turns out. Every single piece leaving my store must have my stamp of approval every step of the way.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. You learn from your mistakes (bad luck) and you move on to make better choices in the future (good luck).
