

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kara Langill.
Hi Kara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up as an athlete, I was always surrounded by the health and fitness industry.I grew up playing soccer, basketball, softball, tennis and would train off season as well. Sports were a part of my life year round. At the age of 24, I was no longer playing sports and I could tell my flexibility and movement wasn’t the same as when I used to be active everyday. Even though I’m young, I never would have guessed that sports injuries would cause issues this quickly in my body that would last a lifetime. To make a change, I started with all the free fitness and nutrition programs that you find online. I soon realized that you “get what you pay for”. This is where I came across Beachbody. I love working out at home and these workouts are perfect to take anywhere and to find a workout that best suits me. I saw results after my first 3 week program and felt like I was on an adrenaline rush! I wanted to help others who might be in my same situation. Before Beachbody, I was ready to give up and just accept that I would keep gaining weight, but after my first three weeks program, I wanted to keep going. I was able to lose 20 lbs over 2 years and keep it off while following along with an online trainer and a simple meal plan with delicious food.
I am able to sign up customers and work with them one on one or through a group setting based on my own experiences and training from fitness professionals and registered dieticians.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not all smooth. Making a change is hard, but I had the support of family, friends and the Beachbody Community. I had to learn to stop counting calories and work more on portion control, drink lots of water, and focus on veggies most when filling my plate with food.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I started Kara Langill Fitness about four years ago. I help others get started with their health and fitness journey when they are feeling stuck and not sure where to start. Each week I present my clients with a topic that we focus on every day that week. I also send out check-ins, monthly recipe guides, bonus challenges (such as a fitness challenge for the month, trackers, monthly wellness guide, and my go-to afternoon snacks to name a few for this month), and bonus sheets (such as all about macros, muscle recovery, and tips on how to get back on track). I love helping people and giving as much as I can to help them reach their goals!
When you sign up to work with me, you receive an annual subscription to online trainers (think Netflix library of workouts) and two premium nutrition programs you can follow. There is also a wide range of supplements depending on your goals and needs (such as preworkout, post workout, nighttime muscle recovery, pre/probiotics supplements, protein shakes, and so much more)!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Everybody is different. Some people want as much help as they can get while others just want to do their own thing. I believe it’s important to help people in any way you can. Whether it’s just a weekly check-in to see if they have any questions or maybe they are the kind of person who wants someone to reach out to them every day. It’s figuring out the type of person your customers are and going from there.
